fiat-india site is up and running.
mumbai price is 1519500.

a shocker!look at the second pic and you can notice what they have displayed:-the 2008 brazilian palio facelift which is not available in india yet!

The Delhi prices are:

Rs. 14,82,500 for both the Sports & Lounge model.
The engine is the same 1.3Multijet from Fiat stable producing 75bhp of power & 145Nm of torque.!!

Man! 15L for this cutie i need to ask money from pops!!!

15L is a bit tough on the price tag. This car sure is Hot and am sure the 200 odd numbers will vanish in no time at all. However there are some doubts that still remain:

1. Tata may be the owners of Jag and Rover however the impact of this ownership will take transmitting into India.
2. Do the current dealerships have the capability of supporting A.S.S requirements of the car.
3. If it is being launched at specific dealers, will the others not be able to support A.S.S
4. Availability of parts has always been a challenge with Fiat. I can say this having owned an Adventure for a couple of years. What happens to the 500 parts :(
5. 15L Diesel FIAT....difficult to digest.
6. First look on the car. I LOVE IT. First look at the price, am running for tear towels

Just got back frm the Fiat 500 launch here are some pics that i have taken, Real nice car the Linea is cmmg in 2months time and the Punto and Bravo next year.

I personally believe, it looks good. Butt, for a price of 15lacs and just about 75 bhp it is going to be a lifestyle vehicle for a very few.
Secondly, I feel that it does not have the cult following like the Mini. In some parts of the world yes, but I have hardly met people in India who wanted a 500 as bad as they wanted a Mini.
