Getz is an amazing car. I have driven her for 2000km+ and it simply rocks.

Dont say that here - you could be part of a Hyundai conspiracy/propoganda/marketing strategy...

Tata TSK. LOL

BTW, what were your impressions on the Getz. I think it is a decent car too, though a bit too overpriced. And what about the F.E. One of colleagues friends is claiming 5 kmpl in city. Ouch!!!

You are right about the overpriced thingi. If Getz CRdi was priced at the same price... well! As for FE i got 15kmpl on highway(NH1, jaipur-delhi etc.,) with throttle maxed and speedo howering between 120-150kmph. 80-90kmph driving should see her getting 17-18 with AC. City she gives 11-12 with AC.

I will post a complete driving impression shortly after i have had my fun on the 6 lane noida expressway

yo dudes.... get this..... i got to drive the swift today..!!!!!!!!

i can't reveal my sources, but here's some pics of the car, on-road, before it's official launch.

and guys, relax!!!! regarding the pricing, the car's not going to go above 4.85, ex-showroom, for the zxi version...!!!

and here are some pics for you....

and here are my reviews...

guys, the build quality is average. the dash and steering are nothing like the international models. but, they are better than that of all the other marutis, and comparable to baleno.

regarding the ride quality, the swift wins hands down. it's ride and handling is better than the palio, or even the baleno.

interior space is okay, and the rest, well.................. hey, moderators... if you guys say so, i shall post a new topic regarding my driving experience in the swift..... but you gotta say so......

so, here is the first drive of the swift (which has not yet been launched, mind you) by an TEAM-BHPian....!!!! boy, am i thrilled...!!!! so this is what auto journos must feel like........

Thanks for the review. This gives hopes of going for swift subjected to availability of ex show room prices not more than 4.1 L for the base version.

For me it seems that clock is working in half of its capacity ( hard push till they announce the prices on Friday)

Mods: Third person asking for a seperate thread ( either way makes no difference for me) . Break your silence.

Just got a call from Maruti dealer that SUZUKI SWIFT has arrived to their showroom & invited me to take a look anytime after 11.30 am (even test drive is permitted). He added that tomorrow evening they will announce the pricing.

Chennai Guys: It's ABT Maruti located at Guindy. You can give a try, if interested
