OT: The probable reason that GM test mules are seen around Whitefield is because they ha(d)ve a garage like place on ITPL road (just before Hope farm junction, near Corporation bank) which if I am informed correctly is used for testing by their development center guys as well. GM Technical Center is in ITPL.

I have been sighting the heavily camouflaged Chevy's on the vathur - hoskote highway pretty often over the past one month! Saw two being tested with a Chevy cruze running as a pilot even today. Sounded like a diesel to me.

This Undoubtedly is the new Chevrolet AVEO replacement. Infact going by the pictures i have started liking this car. Considering how much Dzire has been pruned from rear while Tata, fiat and mahindra not in much consideration this car, if launched with diesel, along with Nissan Sunny are going to be real contenders against Maruti Suzuki Dzire!!!!!

This car was there in Madiwala Total at around 7:45 AM when I was on my way to office. I saw a GJ registration Cruze with TC plates and I knew there would be some test vehicle around and sure enough this was there, slightly ahead.

Yesterday CNBC was showing an interview with GM India head, he was talking about the hatch and the MPV, the sedan would be launched after those I guess.

The unmistakeable Cruze like looks. Whatever others might say, 80% people hardly bother about the other parameters - looks matter - and so this should sell pretty good!

^^ The interiors look too basic to be good. And those power window switches near the gear lever is not encouraging too. Exteriors are good. Interiors look spartan to me. Am disappointed actually if this will be carried as is to the production version. What are the engine options?? any chances of a powerful diesel unit??

In the above pictures interior looks very basic, one can clearly point out power window switches in front of gear lever. How much does it cost to put up those switches in driver's door ?, exteriors do look good, but interiors get thumbs down from me

I am really disappointed with those interiors, but i guess if these guys are cutting cost like this, at what price they will launch it ? i guess it will be around 5.3 lakhs for a base petrol model anything above that it'll be overpriced IMO.

PS My point of view is based on the above model, however production version, who knows may differ.

Any idea anyone, when they are launching it ?

Good catch. I think this is Chevy Sail (Also carries GJ registration where GM has a plant)
