The family resemblance to Verna is striking. Sure looks like the elder brother of Verna!!
As usual, they seem to have put in a lot of features. Eagerly awaiting the Team-BHP review.

I do see the test drive done by other companies or to say autocar websites., when is someone from our team bhp will be doing the test drive and giving the details.

Surprisingly there seems to be very little buzz around the car that is to be launched anytime now. Most of the auto mags have done their testing and reviews. Waiting for our own tbhp review. Looks like a promising car for the Korean auto maker if they price it right. If the diesel is priced around 12+, it could be a runaway hit

the spec sheet is whats a real letdown, bigger car with smaller verna engine may not be the right thing to do

A bit sad to see the same 1.6L engine in the Elantra. But I guess there must be a tweaked transmission unit to give it some difference at least.

Thankfully, in one of the video reviews, the reviewer noted that the suspension isn't as soft as the other cars from Hyundai India. The car remains planted even at triple digit speeds - thanks to Hyundai for that. I think I read a coupled torsion beam at the rear - hopefully with the 16" alloys (which I think is amazing), life behind the wheel would be confidence inspiring for the enthusiasts.

Another area of concern, in these diesel rockets they produce, has been the soft steering. I was searching with my eyes wide open hoping to see a repeat of the pure Hydraulic unit, the blessing of which, I have experienced many times in my partnership with the Elantra I use now. Though hard in city conditions, it is a beauty on highways. Last week I drove the Fluidic Sonata and found the steering to be adequately weighed even in at very slow speeds - a hydraulic unit there? I've got to do some reading - does anyone know? I can write more about that test drive later.

I personally felt beige is a bit overdone in the Indian version. Please have a look at the Elantra sold in international market - the plastics are way better.

The executive in the Trivandrum dealership says Aug 13th is the launch and for Kerala, vehicles will be issued only through Cochin (min Class B should be the dealership). They have started taking bookings against an advance of Rs. 1 lakh.
