My test drive was scheduled today. I didn't received any call from the salesman, who attended me & he even did not picked my call (I called only once).

Left a SMS & got a prompt reply that I will called back by his team member. A person called me & explained the difficulties in organizing one as promised. He stays non-committal on the confirmed date for test drive..adds that he too is dependent on some other persons commitment. Hhmmm ......going straight to the Verna thread

So apparently my vehicle has been billed by VW to the dealer and is expected to land at stockyard tomorrow. Now i am in a last minute mad rush to beg borrow on the finances.

Though my auto loan application has been logged in, i am trying to raise some capital from within the family so that i dont have to pay astronomical interest to the Bank.

The dealership also agreed on the insurance to be done by Tata AIG separately. Seems i will miss my delivery deadline by a week because of all these finance issues.

Not surprising

I have never heard of Vento being available at your place for a test drive. Even the VW site does give an option to book a test drive for the Vento (but allows for the Polo). The dealerships always asked me to come to the showroom and take a test drive. I never had a problem at any of the showrooms in Bangalore, for that matter. I was given a test drive every time I asked for it.

Some more negativity...but with relief and FYI for those who are suffering!

Well, PAVAN_ I did just that.

I got the booking amount refund INR 75000 for my TDI HighLine Shadow Blue cancellation. No 5-months interest paid, yet.
As usual, they missed the first date committed for the refund cheque and subsequently didn't reply to my email where I threatened to escalate this matter.

But shockingly, got a call + SMS + email after the 5-day delay. Got the delayed cheque, deposited and just about managed to get my T-Jet+ delivered. Good car!

My demand for interest got the foll. exchange:
CRE: Sir, but it will go from my pocket
Me: Were you personally selling me the car?
CRE: Ummm...pause...no sir, but it will go from KSM's pocket...

I give her an incredulous look and walk on.
This is KSM Motors, Chembur, Mumbai. Bad experience.

So, on to the follow-up for the interest then. Will update if I do get it.

This is unbelievable but true. I just got a call from the dealership that my TDI Highline is in transit and they can invoice it this month itself, if my finances are ready. It would be a record of sorts if I get it as promised in less than a month

@battada, Congratulations! and that's some sweet news to me - I booked a Shadow Blue HL TDI around the same time frame as you have done, hopefully the good luck will be extended to me as well

Hullo all Vento victims,

Does anyone here have any contact info for VW corporate?

I'm being stone-walled by VW Palace cross, Bangalore after a 3 month wait for a TDI high-line. I got some IT department chaps to make a menacing phone call, still no response.

I need to take this to the next level pronto. Please do let me know if anyone has had any success with VW corporate.

Candy white. In fact I was going to go for the shadow blue, but the sales guy discouraged me saying it was going to take a lot of time and they could not provide a guaranteed time frame

I booked a shadow blue HL TDI exactly a month ago, was just informed that allotment is done and the car is in transit - it should reach me in a week to 10 days. It appears that the delivery issues are things of the past and all is well now; a waiting period of 40-45 days is not that bad (and I was given a longer time frame for 6-8 months for the shadow blue. Had I opted for a different color, who knows, I might have received the car already). Good job VW, hope they keep my party rolling
