Are you sure they put one in If they did then there must be a part no for it.

Is anyone a member on a Suzuki forum where you could ask about it?

Car has done 16k, is it reqd to change the oil filter ? if I change it now, shd I ask the MASS not to change the filter at 3 rd service @ 20k?

Just wanted to check if Sagar *** will acknowledge my request to change the oil of my choice in the interim? Which MASS will do the oil change without any fuss?

ideally change filter when you change oil, i do it every 5k kms though recommended is 10k kms.

If you have a good relation with Sagar, there is no reason why they shouldnt. They are ofcourse selling the filter and labor call up and confirm. Suraksha should also do it without any fuss.

First Service

Hi Guys,

Got the car done first service, exactly after a week after purchase. Clocked 975kms. Done it at RNS, Hosur Road. Got an English speaking SA(Manju, nice Guy), and Tamil speaking mechanic and thus not much struggle to communicate. Filled feedback form with full marks .

Engine Oil: Mobil Delvac MX, Ruby Trades(Thanks to NFS2024 Post#868,same thread)
Replaced Oil Filter(Rs.377)

Fixed Boot\Back Seat Squeaking. Also had Rattle from dashboard, somewhere near Clock, but Mechanic appraised that the whole unit has to be taken apart to evaluate and fix the issue. I just ignored the rattle, snce it is audible only on very bad roads and can be an indication of how rash I am driving!.

Nitrogen filled(Rs.100), though it was not in my list of items, just said go ahead to experiment.

Had few dents and minor touchups(Labour Rs.100)

Bill:597, Had 431 discount on accessories and total paid: 166/-

Feeling clutch and gear became quite smoother(not sure its head game).

Since I dont have an ICE yet(Was in dilemma, whether to move from old car and now decided to go for new), I had developed a bad habit of listening to all engine noise and sound varies in every RPM.

@rajswiftvdi: Manju is a reliable guy and he attended to my car at 35k service.

Which reminds me, its been a while since i really updated this thread. Lots have passed in the last few months which i will update later. But net result is something really different, which is slightly unusual for me also.

So as a preview i present Snowhite @ 38,600 kms

Thanks, the alloys were done by Sai Colorium in JP Nagar. Excellent workmanship and they charge 700 bucks per wheel. But trust me, its as good as getting a new set of alloys for more than 10 grands.

You decide what you want to do, explain it to him and he will do it for you. Recommended!

I haven't been really following this thread, but the facts are:
1) this car is in Bangalore
2) it's driven a lot
3) and its done close to 40k kms!

It's really neat!

Thanks SLK But its not 100% scratch or ding less. Its just that the car was recently given a diesel wash and a body wax, apart from the front end getting complete paint job along with alloys. Yes thats the story which i havent updated yet in this thread (notice the new model bumper?)

I thought having white car would be easy to maintain, yes it is compared to blacks but still if you want to keep it white atleast 2-3 hours needs to be spent every weekend.

Hey Guys....
Can I have the specific coordinates of MUL where I can raise my concern over not using the Mobil Delvac MX oil during the 1st service.

Sorry for the delayed response. I was out of town to celebrate my daughter's first birthday ..

Jaggu, the car looks err... different. I didnt like the color choice as such for the alloys. Its quite well-maintained, i must say.

Its like it or hate it with this color. I like it, as you said its different easy to identify in a big parking lot.
