Look forward to their investigation, although do hint them of the EGR valve.

EGR Valve: Have this in mind from you posts.

The noise is there where spool starts and ends, not in between.

What does EGR do?

Edit:

"experience symptoms like rough idle and bucking on accelertaion."

Hmm, that sounds very familiar. Maybe I should have mine checked...

The alloys suit the car well. The color is also good and suits the vehicle overall.

Yeah, a nice Red colour would have gone really well with the carpet!

Jyoti, on Tanveer's thread about the TD of Scorpio, you posted about Tata's Extended Warranty. Did you get the Extended Warranty done for your truck?

Jk, I think he is very much sober and serious this time. Try a photochop and post it here, We are waiting for some added entertainment on the forum.

If you want to get it painted, then I would suggest you get the car/wheels down to Cochin. There is an expert here for these kinda paint jobs. I would suggest you to stick with the hyper silver/stock silver looks than make it into some white (yaaaawwwn) or black (Shhhheeeeshhh) clours!

Got my Safari back from service.
They changed idler belt or so. It didnt help sort the krr krr but now gearshift is smooth and so with the power.

I went back and asked them to join me for a drive so that they can hear the krr krr. I said last time they said they will check with new ECU and even told them it mightbe of EGR. They said they checked both and asked me to come back next week as they have ordered a modded ECU from Pune.

I was really impressed by their service. 2 were vacuming my Safari, one was polishing the tyres! One was fixing back the carpets.

And when the supervisor asked if all was done, one kid says no! and asks him to pop open the bonet. This guy then applies some white grease one battery terminals!

And also the supervisor came and explained what all they had bought for fitting the horn etc.

And now I know why they take care of us so good. Pune calls are their incentives

They've changed your timing idler belt ??, I wonder why ???

EGR valve cannot be repaired, it has to be changed on the whole. If its a control problem, it will resolve with the upgraded ECU map else EGR has to be replaced.

Hi all, are the symptoms of a faulty EGR valve "smoking" at low low rpm's, or during gear shifts?
