Odo @ 11800kms.

Did a 800km round trip last weekend. Guess my 2.2's first monsoon drive.
The trip from Tvm-Chertalla-Kumarakom-Kottayam-Pala-Mutton-Idukki-Thangamani-Kattapana-Kanjirapally-Pala-Tvm. My co-bro drove for 120kms from Kattapana to Pala a distance of 120kms in 2hours 15min. I drove back to Tvm same night a distance of 187km (Tvm-Pala) in almost 3hours. Kudos to my oldest and favorite navigator my Mom for giving me company all the way.

Some videos

Chertalla- Kumarakom; back ground song is from a film called Pranayakalam.

Pala-Uzhavoor Road; back groudn song is from Vineeth Srinivasan's new album Cafe @ MG Road

Trip to Kattapana/Vagamon. Odo @13800kms

Had to goto Kattapana.

Drove via Changanacherry-Ponkunnam-Kuttikanam-Eelapara-Kattapana; a distance of 260kms from Trivandrum.

Return was via Vagamon

Some pix on the way and at Vagamon (the one with mist covered back ground)

And my new seat covers. Cost me 4.5K @ Motorplaza. Neat job. Also changed tints to more darker ones for 1200rs, Garware.

yah! will remove it. I forget to do that everytime!

It was abused to some extend. The NH is in a bad state now. And next time you sure can take it for a proper Safari.

JK, nice pics!! i noticed that the front seat covers in your car are not identical. I mean the spacing between the stitch on both seats is not looking uniform. May be its the camera or is that right? just curious..

WOW...JK, who is that stunning macho standing near the safari? I feel katrina might dump salman.

When am i getting the opportunity to TD your safari as my test drive in Hyson turned out to be a disaster? i.e. when is your next trip to COK?

Why bother? You will never drive anything other than an M&M - I'll bet anything on that.

Dont write me off that fast. You can never say. i might end up in a safari.

I was not happy with the TD anyway & a recently started VTT thread is scaring me.

Still looking forward to TD a maintained one like JK's.

18000km on Odo. Afetr 2nd Service

Done 18100 plus till date.

All I paid for second service was for 7lit oil or filter. They changed something which I dont remember now (which seems to cost 11k). Will find the bill and post details.

Got a call from them saying some retro fitment came and hence I have to bring the Safari down to get it fitted. I dont remember ordering anything other than complaining of the krr krr sound which only I hear, not Steeroid,JayD or A S V I N. I guess they are changing the alternator this time though I donno why.

Currently using TurboJet. Feel its makes the engine smoother and I get 11 something per litre.

And covered Tvm-Chgry,141kms till Thengana in 150min. My Safari still doesnt rattle! except for the tailgate squeaking which isnt that irritating.

Really happy with the build quality of my 2.2L as I was doing 3 digits in places were road is yet to be laid and still its r- a- t- t- l- e free.

Dont take MC road to KTM from TVM!

JK there is no krr krr sound on your Safari. FOUR people sitting in the car couldnt hear it.

Drive it like a diesel truck, not a petrol hatch. DONT RIDE THE CLUTCH - its showing.
