Re: Disabling the 80 / 120 kmph speed warning alerts

I checked with a coder and was told that 80/120 chimes cannot be removed on the newest bmw's with the latest idrive, does anyone have any info on that?

Re: Disabling the 80 / 120 kmph speed warning alerts

Got my 80/120 disabled with the help of a friend through VCDS on my new Skoda Kodiaq but much to my annoyance there was still a loud and annoying alert at 120 which was very frustrating on highways.

Thankfully Dr Code My VAG (https://instagram.com/drcodemyvw?igs...RlODBiNWFlZA==) helped sort that out remotely. Was painless over team viewer. Check them out for any coding needs.

Re: Disabling the 80 / 120 kmph speed warning alerts

So anyone here has removed the Speed chime for 2023 Mercedes Benz GLE? I have asked the dealer to remove and they are unwilling to do so. In Bangalore am told many people are doing. Would be of great help if someone can share contacts. We have 2 cars for the job.

There are a few who claim to do it but you need to be careful as some may end up messing up with your warranty.

I got it done on my 2022 GLC without any issue from Amit. Highly recommend him. available at 9686240566

Re: Disabling the 80 / 120 kmph speed warning alerts

As it has been two months since I took possession of my Renault Kiger 2023, I took it out to JNPT to go absolute hammer and tongs at the wheel. Weirdly, there was no warning alert either at 80 or going past 120. Is it just being plain lucky or do I have a problem at hand?

Hi,

Can you guide me on getting this done for the new ioniq?

Did you find a solution?

Didn't try hard enough. Broke my leg (unrelated accident) within 50 days of getting the car. Will look into this when I'm back on highways again.

Has anyone got the speed limit chimes removed on Hyundai Verna?

I don't mind the alert however the 80kmph alert comes up each time you decrease your speed below 80 and again come up to 80. It is very irritating and loud and repetitive specially most of the traffic on highway drives around 80-100.
Hi,

Did you end up finding someone who does JLR cars? I am considering getting a Velar.

And as you can imagine, you lose some other warning sounds with this method.

Do note that this sound is interlinked with other beeps and warning sounds.

I personally find the alert beeps useful on XUV500 – especially seat belt, door ajar, hand brake engaged, and yes, even the intermittent one when crossing 80 kmph. However the 120 kmph is quite annoying (by design) and takes the joy out of driving on multi-lane highways even when it's safe. Wish it was subtler instead of screaming in my ear.

I requested the MASS at two major M&M dealers in Bengaluru, but they both said they couldn't do anything about it.

I like the idea of DIY damping/muffling the buzzer. I can tell that the alert is coming from behind the dashboard near instrument cluster. Would be great if anyone more knowledgable can help with the buzzer's location before having to rip out the dashboard and hunt for it.

I checked wiring diagrams of 2012 production XUVs but they don't mention any buzzer/speaker apart from external horn and interior music speakers.

Re: Disabling the 80 / 120 kmph speed warning alerts

Has someone disabled these chimes for latest Maruti Suzuki vehicle? Or any workarounds? I just transitioned to Jimny and travel highways extensively with usual legal speeds from 90-100 KMPH.

Regular chimes at 80KMPH is a distraction + ruins the driving experience.

Has anyone managed to remove the chimes for the new Honda Elevate? My brother-in-law got a new Elevate and wants to disable those, as he frequently travels on the highway and the chimes are loud and irritating.
