re: Cellphone Holder

Am here to provide my review of the below cell phone holder.

Desc : QBZ Accessories MOBIFIXBLK Super Grip Magnetic Universal Mobile Holder
Link : http://www.amazon.in/QBZ-Accessories...ilpage_o00_s04

Was on the lookout for an effective mobile holder for my car. I do not like the huge bulky ones that have to put on the dashboard/windshield and hence was deferring the option to buy one. When browsing in Amazon last week saw this small mobile holder. Seeing the positive reviews in Amazon, I next checked in this thread and found that it was already bought by a Bhpian and the review was again good. So went ahead and purchased it. Received it in a day even though I had selected normal shipping method. Packaging contains
(i) Two device plates- For two devices. attach to a plain surface [mobile/cover].
(ii) One mobifix holder - To Stick it to a plain surface . Do not paste it on a leatherette or any such surface.
(iii) Alcohol swab - To clean the surface before sticking.
(iv) 3m primer - Apply before sticking the device plates/mobifix holder on to the surface
(v) Instruction manual
(vi) A small plastic sheet for helping in finding the center of the mobile device. This helps in finding the proper center for attaching the device plate.

Below is my review of it.

+ves :
1. Small and does not take up large space. I have stuck it near the A/C vent in my palio and its inobtrusive
2. Have tested it along bad roads and the phone does not fall off or shake.
3. Can rotate the phone horizontally or vertically without even taking it out of the holder.
4. Comes with two magnets that can be used for two devices.
5. Holds my iphone 6 as well as my wife's Redmi note 3 without any issue. I think it can hold devices upto 5.5" screen as well.

-ves :
1. I could not stick the plates to the mobile cover. I had to stick on to the back of the mobile phone. But if you have a cover with a plain back then probably can fix the plate to it.
2. Does not work with the mobile cover on. Have to remove the cover everytime before sticking the mobile onto the mobifix.
3. Only two plates provided and hence only two devices can be attached. Wont be able to use it as a generic one for any device.

I would definitely recommend it . I have not taken any pics and hence could not share them.

re: Cellphone Holder

I am using the Artis M300 Universal Mobile Car holder since past 3 months and the set is serving me pretty well. The arm is pretty thick and hence my phone does not vibrate. The suction has some glue kind of thing which helps to keep it sticking to the surface. I could not place it on the dashboard as the i10 does not have a smooth surface so its stuck on the windshield.

Best thing about this holder is its one hand operation of putting and removing the mobile, pretty nifty I would say.

I have been using this product for the past two or three months. I am totally happy with this product. I agree with almost all the points that you quoted in your review.
I love it because of its small footprint. I am able to fix it just beside the AC vent which fits within my line of sight. The adhesive is strong and the magnet is is also strong. The mobile fits properly and does not fall off even on very bumpy rides.
Some people may find it hard to install because of its very small components. I would suggest them to be patient and follow the instructions closely. Once installed, you will appreciate the convenience that this product gives.

I will definitely recommend this.

re: Cellphone Holder

I purchased this mobile holder from Snapdeal.

Pros:
1. Holds our Lumia pretty well.
2. The holder has excellent suction and did not fall off on the bumpy roads enroute to my office.
3. Plastic quality is very decent.
4. The device can be rotated to portrait or landscape mode as needed.

Cons:
1. When driving over gravels or slightly bumpy stretches, the phone vibrates negligibly. Need to figure out a way to stop the vibration if possible.

Cannot expect more. Completely worth it!!! Hope it lasts.

I had the same as my previous mobile holder.

Lasted for about an year and gave off while i was on a long drive. The suction cup came off.

Had to keep the mobile in front of the speedo for the rest of the journey.

Glad that this worked for a year. I presume it is good enough. BTW how much did you buy it for?

I had installed this using a disc on the dashboard in my car. It would work fine during normal temperatures but would come off during hot days. It does have a decent grip and the mobile is easy to mount and remove. I still have it but do not use it anymore.

How did you manage to install with a disc on dashboard? I am trying to visualise but in vain. Any specific benefits of doing such an install?

beat my price, if you can...i paid Rs65 for two
Btw, i stopped using it long time back though. Though the suction cup is good, it vibrates a lot on bad roads and when it happens, it very difficult to see the map also! so, i went back to my tried and tested 'spider' holder.

I had bought a cell phone mount earlier which had come with a disc similar to below.

I was using it in my Civic with it placed on the dashboard like below. Pardon the Black & White quality of the pic.

The advantage is that it does not clutter up the windshield and the mobile does not block the view while driving.

Edit: The mobile/GPS also vibrated a lot while driving.

Not justifying the price, but the one I had never vibrated on any type of road. It's build quality was good. Had bought if off Snapdeal.
Another colleague of mine also ordered the same, he still uses it.

Guys where do you get the disc to stick on dashboard. Is it available separately I'm the market? As I already have a mobile holder, just need the disc now.
