For using tab in rear seat you have better options. Check out the following link: EASY Car Seat Headrest Mount Tablet Holder https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01AC556WO/..._za4HxbYGW4VVZ

re: Cellphone Holder

Thanks guys.
Purchased Bergmann Auto Grip XL for my Moto X play from Amazon.
http://www.amazon.in/dp/B01CE3DYOO/ref=pe_1909141_77686051_tnp_emaildp_1
Paid Rs 620 (including shipping).

Fixed on dash using Disc with 3M double-side tape provided for dashboard mounting. No rattling or vibration even on bad roads, it looks strong and sturdy. It's some what compact, so not much obstruction while driving.
Very good product for the price.

re: Cellphone Holder

While I am on the look-out for a suitable cell phone holder which does not obstruct the view, this was set up for a particular trip in my Polo; putting the Joby Gorillapod to use for the co-passenger (my wife takes up navigation duties anyway ).

Iphone 6 in a case mounted on the Griptight attachment for mobile.

Although takes time to wrap around the handle for a snug fit, quite stays there, even during opening and closing of the door.
Not really suited for short trips with frequent release of the phone, the search continues for a more permanent attachment accessible from the driver's seat

Holder looks discreet and unobtrusive when not in use. Center part is the magnet and the four hands are just for holding the mobile in position. Device is held by 3M tapes which need to be applied with the 3M primer they provide.

Doesn't stick out of the dashboard too much!
Attachment 1527844
Perfect!
The models that I have shortlisted (for past 2 hours) are reviewed here on thread

And, I can easily agree, this is the least "obvious" mount of all.
I am willing to try this out as my first car-mobile mount.

Can you please share, if the magnet fix at the back of phone protrudes much?

Also, is it working fine after couple of months worth usage?
Any other feedback?

I am also considering Bergmann XL @660INR - recommended by folks here

AND

Advent Basics @350+delivery

Another point to note - is we may need to get 2 of the magnet mounts (for 2 separate phones we have).
I may install the second mount on my bike (but it will definitely attract unwanted attention - being gold plated center).

Thanks for the inputs!

Ace.

The first one is available on Aliexpress - but the phone will be mounted at an angle. Also, the material is described as soft-silicone, which can be prone to cracking due to exposure to heat/

Any purchases of a mobile holder for the latest generation City / Jazz for placement in the piano black area next to the power button of the deck and below the hazard light?

The holder shown on the previous page should fit perfectly over there.

Thanks for your review of this Spigen holder. It really looks very nice and I am tempted to buy it. However, many reviews on amazon mention about this not sticking to the dashboard very well. Many reviewers say that the holder came off the dashboard in a few days or when driving on bumpy roads. How is your long term experience about this? Does this stick to the dashboard really well?

By the way, this one by Zaap also looks very good: http://www.amazon.in/ZAAP-7945049999...aap+car+holder

Does anybody have any experience about this Zaap holder?

Thanks,
-AD

Have the following feedback after usage for http://www.amazon.in/Bergmann-Automa...rch_detailpage i.e.
a) Is not fit for Dashboard use.
b)The holder holds on to the car windshield quite well.
c) The mount is unable to hold the weight of the mobile and it swings down. The workaround is to fit the holder in such a manner that the mount finds support on the dashboard.

Hi AD, i was using a CD Slot Phone holder in my I20 and it was really good.
Phone was not blocking any of the windscreen view.
When i changed over to the CRETA i needed a new phone holder, as the SX+ does not have a cd player.
I did not want one which fixes to the windscreen. I wanted a dashboard option, for which you need a suction with a gel on it.
The Zaap fit the bill. A bit pricey but once i got it, I knew why.
It has a rock solid built. Good strong material.
I like the locking and unlocking mechanism.
I have been using it for around 13 days on the CRETA with my Samsung Note 5.

the phone does pop up a little, so if you are driving on a sunny day for very long time the phone would get the brunt of the sun.
The location is not distracting
Good reach with the left hand.

I would say go for it.

Here are some pics,.Once i am back home will do some pics with the phone in the cradle.

Do such holders stay put during summers? Temperatures can reach upto 60 deg in cars that are parked in Sun, in peak summers. I am skeptical if the suction cup will hold on in such temperatures.

re: Cellphone Holder

I have been using the following CD slot mobile holder from the past 2 weeks. It is fairing well on bad potholed roads.

It is a non-branded one, got it for free at an event.
