Long time no updates here...
How is lowering going on?

I have got a mugen exhaust(only muffler). Will this just bolt on or will i have to weld it on? Is it advisable to use this mugen thingy on my civic? Will it be way too loud? Anybody around here has installed it on their ride? It is the regular mugen muffler(thus i dont think pics are required).

His car is running fine with the eibach and koni's handling has changed significantly.

I recently used his car for a friendly drag against VRS and im surprised to tell that the car was matching up to the VRS,Not once but twice.

This car had ICE in the boot with a fancy install that was added weight.

I completely forgot to Update this thread, after discussions regarding the suspension, I added the following stuff

1. Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs
2. Koni Sport Yellows Adjustable Front Shockers
3. Koni Sport Yellows Adjustable Rear Shockers
4. Alutech Front Strut Brace
5. Alutech Rear Arm Tie Bar

There was a DRASTIC change in the way the car handled and performed after this upgrade, Body Roll was cut down to almost zero, and the car handled like crazy, It is ROCK stable, and I MEAN STABLE. sometimes you actually need to have a look at the speedo to confirm what speeds you are doing. I am very happy with the way the car is peforming now, It is stiff no doubt but with the added FEEL of the car, I think its a small price to pay. The suspension was fitted and setup by Mr Phill of Speed-sport.

I dont know about people complaining about the stock Height and ground clearance issues of the civic, even after a 30MM drop overall around the car, the car is still very drivable across NCR. Also I did a Up down Jaipur trip which included a visit Uphill to Neehargarh fort also and I did not face any issues whatsoever. I came back without touching or scrapping the underbody anywhere, but yes now the car is on stock bumpers, I broke my mugen kit so its been off my car for a while now. Some pics attached.

Is this how your Muffler looks like, If yes then its a direct bolt on fit, anything else will require Welding. I had a Thai Replica of the same exhaust installed in my car because a Original Mugen Exhaust will cost you well over 40,000/-, I am sure what you must be having is a replica as well. Post pics if you can.

If its the same exhaust, then its NOT loud at all, infact its only audible above 5000RPM, perfect for normal city driving, even after 5000RPM there is a sweet roar, not a Harsh rumble which is irritating, though the only problem I faced was that after a years usage, the glass wool inside the muffler gave away and the exhaust started to sound wierd. in local terms "PHAT" gaya. I replaced it with a Remus Dual Titanium tip and trust me its MILES ahead of the Replica ones in the market, though expensive its totally worth the money. The Note is too die for, The sound is something which everybody enjoys.

The exhaust I have got is a little different and the exhaust bottle looks more like a cannon rather than the flattened one in the pic. I have decided to only put it on once I have my kit fitted on. Can anybody help me source a bodykit pleaseplease:. Btw the noise from the exhaust, can it be tweaked?

Finally got the Type-R Engine start switch, Waiting for the Type-R Engine now :D.

thats some nice JDM styling

looks kewl !! how much did you spend ??

@M4ugr8: Awesome pics in B&W there, man. The car looks like a predator on the prowl.

@tsk1979:
Got confused by this-

...So if you heavily modded your car mand made it 130bhp from 100bhp, you won't find any difference in top speed of 1,2,3rd gear, but its quite possible that on 5th gear you can get closer to the redline!
Assuming for example,
gear ratio of 1:3 for the first gear,
earlier pre-mod power at 6500 RPM 100bhp,
gives max speed of 40 kmph in first gear.
If power is modified to 130 bhp while RPM is 6500,
with the same gear ratios,
won't the max in-gear speed would also increase?
Explainplease:

it will just get to that 40kmph much faster with the increase in power. at 6500rpm the car will do the same speed no matter what the power is.

in the highest gear a number of petrol cars do not manage to touch their redline. so while the mechanical top speed might be 220kmph in the civic it dosent have enough power to cross 200 or 205kmph, so with the extra remap power it might make it to say 215kmph.

What is JDM? I've heard this name mentioned in many magazines, forums etc.

The engine start button (gotta love those!) looks like a factory fit! Very very clean install.

Akshay1234 thanks for the reply, however it is not clear to me. The second point is clear about max speed in top gear. The doubt was about in gear max speed for lower gears being the same, no matter what the modified power is.
Consider another (extreme) example to illustrate:
Car develops 100bhp at 6500 rpm.
I do some mod to reduce the power to only 10(ten) bhp at 6500 rpm,
would the car reach a speed of 40 kmph in the first gear with the same gear ratio as earlier?
Is there any other thread to explain this?
