Had gone for a short drive to Lonavla on Independence day.Took a couple of videos on the way.It was fun to drive her flat out since it was dry, no wet roads,no rains nothing, perfect weather.
Since high speed speedo pics or videos aren't allowed here, will only post a small video showing the acceleration.

@Amey, I hope you don't mind if I post a friend's query here regarding his lancer.

Quote:
2000 lancer petrol - stock car had 95 bhp.
its still got a good amount of power, yet underpowered for a lancer - 1L odd kms would explain that
things that are cocked up - exhaust, clutch, brakes, suspension also AC but thats on the B-list
not much torque - struggles to accelerate after 100 kmph

do i do the reboring and then work on the exhaust etc.. - i know this will definately make the car faster
or do i change the filters, exhaust, tyres now and let the engine run a little longer - how much faster will option A be then option B?

When did Lancer have 95 BHp ? The Indian Lancer had 87 Bhp or so.Had he done mods?

Before jumping on to reboring and stuff, I would say give the OWS stuff a try. Its worth it.
Get a engine, radiator flush done.Replace engine oil with OWS synthetic oil (there is some special oil meant for high run engines) replace gear oil, change air filter, fuel filter etc.
Even throttle body cleaning should be given a shot.
See if these things help in performance.
Assuming that your friend has a stock lancer which mean it had the 4G15 engine, then I am afraid, there isnt much that he can do.In all fairness, that engine is a sad unit made by Mitsu. It can never generate good power with whatever mods.
I wouldnt waste time working on that engine, would do the basics first as mentioned above and see if it helps. Also he could try Iridium spark plugs, should make tiny difference.
From what I have read till now, the fuel delivery for the lancer is its weak point, tuned for efficiency and not performance. So FPR and a bigger fuel rail with a high pressure fuel pump should help in improving the performance by a decent amount.

Real Clean work Amey.

I am in awe for your DIY. Back in college days i did a lot of DIY but never got the whole circuits right.

Manually soldering a ECU is amazing.

This car is going to be an epic.

Great work Amey. I wish i lived in pune. I am a big fan of engine mods, but have no experience more than working on a couple of single cylinder engines. I went through the whole thread and i am overwhelmed, wish i could do something like this on my sx4.
I have a question for you as i got lost reading the threads.you started with a 16v sohc engine and i suppose you still have the same head, correct me if i am worng. My question is how will a dohc increase power as i saw some mention of it somewhere.

Received the Turbo Dump pipe in mail today, took a trial with it bolted on the turbo and installed in the engine bay along with manifold.
Everything fits perfect!
And yes, it doesnt interfere with the AC Compressor so I get to keep the AC...woooohoooo!

Figured out Intercooler piping also.Suddenly things have started rolling fast.
