Re: BMW G310R & G310GS launched at Rs. 2.99 - 3.49 lakh

Edit time over. Sorry mods.

Overdrive review. Schumi seems impressed with the baby GS -

However, does anyone else notice how the headlamp is shaking violently when the vehicle is offroad? Check 4:08 in the video.

So the idea is to eventually replace versys with baby GS for daily commute plus weekend breakfast ride and an xpulse for trail bashing or during monsoons. Selling the versys should get me enough to buy these two bikes, hopefully.

Wearing a Dainese jacket or carrying an AGV helmet should work as both the brands are owned and sold by the same tusker group and they know the premium they charge on these brands.
I understand from the versys POV. Mid life crisis 1.0 - Went to book a Versys, took an extended test ride, absolutely loved the bike, mentally decided to book when riding it during the test ride but when parking at the dealer I had to switch off and pull it up a pavement, it was heavy and at that instant decided against it. All that weight handling it in parking slot or elsewhere daily would be a pain. Bought a Duke 390 2018 version and was eagerly waiting for the 310GS. Now post the pricing fiasco and the way the BMW dealers treat potential customers, I will wait for the KTM adv instead.

Currently, the on road price with RSA and extended warranty in Pune should be 4.7-4.8 lakhs and it would require atleast about 60-70K worth accessories additionally which makes the price 5.5 lakhs. Can still afford but will wait for the 390 ADV though.

I do hope the Xpulse is in the 1.1-1.2 L price range as articles suggested. Many would be willing to get one just for trail riding.

Re: BMW G310R & G310GS launched at Rs. 2.99 - 3.49 lakh

BMW is having winner in their hands but with limited buyers, absolutely fun bike to ride, tested the baby G310GS within city limit, perfectly mated brakes, nice punchy engine which hits the power band post 6000 rpm, good suspension, she handles well the humps and potholes, balanced engine optimized for whole day riding and I am sure it's not going to heat up like KTM 390, perfect mini adventure bike from BMW 👍 and it's for limited people as paying 200 k extra on top of Himalayan on road price, I doubt many will be picking.
Booking mine next month and I am sold for the Black color.
Either you have BMW or you don't have, just like iPhone quote

Congrats. Looks like GS will be the success out of the duo. Every feedback from media and BHPians point towards it.

Yeah with a logo the size of my hand, why wouldn't it lol.

Tentative delivery dates for bookings now are in September. All pre-bookings done so far will be delivered in August apparently.

Ride safe,

Re: BMW G310R & G310GS launched at Rs. 2.99 - 3.49 lakh

Now the hunt will begin for making it proper adv bike, shortlisted below items for the baby GS.
I am bajadesigns fan and using them in my Tiger as well, considering these small and cute aux LEDs for my mini GS.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BAJA-DESIGN...19.m1438.l2649
Also considering the Hepco & Becker as I have Hepco & Becker tail box on my Tiger and using the same luggage rack I can use the same box on my mini GS, the part number is SKU: 6556507 01 01
Hope GS sub frame can take the weight of Hepco & Becker Explorer 45 litre top box.
Other stuff are:-
Akrapovic Exhaust S-B3R1-RC/1
Aluminium skid plate
Engine and tank guard
Trail foot rest
Head light protector
Steering damper
Tank pad
Fork protector
Side stand toe
Centre stand
Hand guard
Rear hugger
Handle bar raiser
Taller windshield

we are there standing in the background in your pics. Good that u managed to get a test ride without booking as they were giving it to only those who had pre-booked. Even we managed to somehow steal a small ride (as a friend knew one of the guys there) and the initial impressions are that bike is tall but nice and comfortable with upright ergo, light weight, decent engine feel (a milder version of 390 duke), and good low end torque to putter -around in 2nd/3rd gear at lower speeds. Fit and finish is nice and so is suspension, except for the fact the bike is slightly overpriced, seemed like a very good proposition for a comfortable commuter or weekend get-away bike.

Thanks, that explains the KA on-road cost. Should be cheaper in other states.

Yes, it is noticeable in the slo-mo at the beginning as well. Found another video where it has been mentioned. Check 08:52 in this one.
