Yes, it is noticeable in the slo-mo at the beginning as well. Found another video where it has been mentioned. Check 08:52 in this one.
Was a bit skeptical on the headlamp shake issue so checked online forums and also spoke to a close source and it seems some amount of movement is normal. This is cos in high-end bikes, for headlight beam adjustment, only the reflector moves. But in bikes which are entry level, the whole headlamp assembly gets adjusted as this is cost effective way to achieve adjustment and this is how it is with 310 twins. So some amount of movement will be there, however if the shake is too much then it needs to be looked into and fixed. The bike is been there in international market for a decent while and no major issues regarding the headlamp is been reported. So hope its not a big deal.

I had asked about the headlight shake from BMW, they said they have kept it intentional because the bike is going through bumps and bad roads so a little play gives the flexibility to the bike. God knows what flexibility they are taking about.

But I think it's gonna make the matter more worse. What do you say?

In the software world, this is called the "It's not a bug, it's a feature!" excuse. We use it whenever a customer finds a defect we missed while making the product. And whenever we can get away with it!

Good to hear that a world-class auto manufacturing company like BMW also uses that response.

They can't say no, initially they were saying they don't have keys and the owner is on the way with key's, told them shall I call him to come fast
Within circle we bought many GS's and I am also going to be their one of Papa GS customer soon but waiting for the Tiger to go. I agreed to visit them as I told one of sales guy that I can pick the baby GS with Tiger no issue, but I need a test ride, Papa GS only if Tiger goes

Autocar India review -

Same conclusion - The GS will be the more popular of the twins.

The reviewer says that the BMW engine is not as refined as the KTM Duke 390's! Never thought the KTM would win any refinement duels. Are the BMW's that unrefined or has KTM managed to improve their NVH levels so drastically?

This is disappointing news for those of us (including myself) looking to upgrade from our incredibly refined Gixxers, FZs and Hornets.

Re: BMW G310R & G310GS launched at Rs. 2.99 - 3.49 lakh

It seems that BMW has already issued a voluntary recall for the G310R & G310 GS for the side stand/frame defect in North America.

Now that this issue has already been detected, isn't it time for the BMW India also to issue a recall?

This does not bode too well for this duo.

Not even a single bike delivered. So its not a 'recall' for the Indian market.

Hopefully we get the new design where the issue has been rectified already, when the deliveries start next month.

IIRC, India gets the Europe spec BMW 310 twins. So, unless there is a recall in Europe, there is no need to worry about the recall happening for US spec bikes.

I had a word with the good fellows at BMW regarding this, they said this defect is only with the side stand and it was limited to models till May-2018. Since we get July manufactured models and hence we are not affected by this issue.

100 bookings in TN in a week of launch.
Kun BMW seem pretty happy with the response.

Mine was 201 in Bangalore and they did not even give a pastry.
Am sure they would have done much more booking since last Saturday. Awaiting delivery soon.
BTW is this 100th booking for G310R only or combined number for both variants?

Most likely. But contrary to popular perception that G310R will hardly do any numbers, the overall booking ratio is been 60:40 in favour of GS. This is from a close source at BMW and they themselves are surprised as they expected the GS to do much better in relation to R.
