Re: TVS Apache RR 310 launched at Rs. 2.05 lakh

I read an article listing the state-wise price lists. Strangely the ex showroom cost in most states is 2.15 lakhs!

AP, KL, MH, TN are lucky to stay at 2.05 lakhs.

What is the reason behind a solid 10k difference is ex-showroom price between states? KA has to pay 2.15L whereas the all the states surrounding it (AP, KL, TN and MH) pay 2.05L!

Not only Ex-Showroom, even more Road tax :(

I thought with GST things will become uniform, even so more surprising since KA is next to TN, so not like transopration cost is too high.

This is atrocious!

So Apache 310rr in KA is going to be as expensive as an RC390 in TN! Poor KA residents already pay hefty tax, and TVS happily rises up the ex showroom by 10k. Bad move!

This is ridiculous !! Wasnt GST meant for uniform ex-showroom prices across the country ??

+1 ethanhunt123.

I for one, am really confused with this thing called GST. Its not like I don't understand how it works, I just can't seem to get my head around how it is implemented/deployed.
Ironically, the prices at many places for consumables have actually increased post this GST.

Karnataka always had steeper taxes, and Bangalore took the cherry. IMO, though 310RR brings in a lot to the fight, when you put it against something like RC390. I am doubtful it would even last one round.

As somebody has already posted, its only a matter of time before KTM unleash the RC250, and then it will be GAME ON

If we compare with KTMs to RR310, the later will sell mostly due to the the way it looks, maintenance & reliability(hope TVS now has come up with better quality) and good road presence than that ugly looking facial of RC(sorry no offence to KTM admirers)

I too went ahead and booked RR310 at Prakruti Motors in Bangalore by paying 5K booking amount. I was told that the test vehicle will arrive next week and they will give a call me for test ride. They have formally informed that it will take upto 45 days for delivery, though they are confident delivering early January. They have received only 12 nos booking in this dealership.

One interesting aspect that seems to have been missed by most reviewers is the compression ratio, the BMW 310r has compression of 10.6 : 1 where as the TVS runs a 10.9 : 1. Slight difference though.

Re: TVS Apache RR 310 launched at Rs. 2.05 lakh

Very few responses on this thread after the initial response. I am worried that this bike will struggle and will soon be branded as a dud! I really am considering this bike but would like to see the initial niggles report and sales trend before investing 2.5 lakhs.

Hope I get that choice!

The bike hasn't even arrived in the showroom buddy, we will see how it pans out. If some one does not badly need a bike, I don't see a reason why they will rush to pre book an expensive bike. Let the bike reach dealers, let test drives happen, we will see the fate of the bike after that, give it 6 months to begin with.

Re: TVS Apache RR 310 launched at Rs. 2.05 lakh

One of my colleague's friend seemed to manage a TD on the race track as he is well connected. He owns a Z800. As per his feedback, @ 2L bracket, this IS the bike to go for. I think he was quite surprised by the track performance. Have asked my friend to get more of his impressions.on riding posture etc.

As per rush lane, the bikes have started reaching the dealership. When I called up early last week, I was told the bikes will reach in 5 days, it should be in by now. Deliveries are supposed to start by X-Mas which means they also need couple of days for RTO registration process.

Logically, yes, the BMW G310R should be priced lower. But will BMW actually price it lower than the Apache 310?
