It is purely a technique issue. There are a couple of things that might help. Assuming you are standing on the left of the bike. One, make sure that the handle bar is straight or tilted slightly away from you.
Two, make sure that the far end leg of the centre stand is making contact with the ground (as in bike is not leaning towards you).
Then just place your right leg on the horizontal extension of the stand and then hold the grab rail and gently lift and pull back. The bike slides up and onto the stand quite easily.
I use the same technique on my Africa Twin as well, to put it on the centre stand, all of 245 odd kilos. Works easy. Practice this a few times, keeping points one and two in mind, if you do it once, then its easy peasy.

Cheerio!

Hi everyone! I finally removed the garish H'Ness badges from my bike yesterday. It looks much cleaner now :

I've written a detailed post about the process in the debadging thread. Do take a look if you'd like to do the same to your CB350:

I can vouch for this, I have been putting bikes of all sorts south of 500 cc on center stand by using both left and right legs since 2010 (My weight has grown from 50 to 80 in the time frame). Using left leg generally requires less effort but you need to have longish arms to do it properly.

The other technique which can be used although it requires precision and lots of practice is putting bike on center stand while sitting on it.

Steps -

1. Use your left leg to lower down the center stand while sitting on the bike.
2. Make sure both points of stand are on ground and bike is center balanced.
3. Keep your right leg firmly planted on ground.
4. Lift the handlebar towards your chest while pushing down on center stand with your left leg.

Easier said than done this requires lots of practice (watching videos and someone do it won't hurt either), But this trick is super handy when parking in tight spaces. It is essentially reverse of how you move the bike from center stand.

Honda Highness CB350

It nearly 4 months I bought the bike from day one my right hand aches from the shoulder, due to handle/Steering issues.
There's a noise TAK TAK from the engine when the vehicle starts in the morning (Cold Start) is this noise normal. Beginning there was no noise or I might have not observed it.
From Autofin Honda I am repairing/servicing the vehicle at Fortune Honda Hyderabad. Had a very bad experience with Autofin.
If Fortune Honda fixes my handle/Steering issues will keep the bike.
Also can anyone suggest me to fix the Tachometer on it.
Thank you

Though slowly, Honda is expanding their Big Wing outlets. I was gonna pick up the bike only if I had service in my town. Booked the bike on 24th December 2020 and got a call from SA saying bike has arrived and he will try to deliver it next week.

I am not in a hurry... Was passing by and saw the showroom and the bikes. Being Sunday, showroom was closed.

Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh

The Highness' Japanese version, the GB350, has been officially unveiled, priced at ¥550,000, which translates to an eye-watering (at least for us ) ₹3,65,955! It comes in some really interesting shades though:

Matte Jeans Blue Metallic:
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-2210330gb350_002h.jpg

Candy Chromosphere Red:
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-2210330gb350_004h.jpg

Matte Pearl Morion Black:
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-2210330gb350_003h.jpg

I personally feel that the monotone matte black would find a lot of takers if launched here. Honda should consider offering a few of these colour options here with the 2022 version.

Cheers!

YMRB, a market research company, has invited me for owner's review of CB 350. Has anyone experienced their review process? If yes, please share your thoughts about YMRB.

I am yet to accept the invitation.

Everything is not for everyone, I am not a bike guy, I am a hard-core car guy. But in India bike is a MUST. Though I wanted a Pulsar 150, I ended up purchasing Yamaha Libero, a 106cc bike and it’s been 15 years. If anyone asks me what is low maintenance and reliability, I will show them my libero. It was never looked after like my cars but I did a decent job, never skipped oil interval, change chain sprocket every 25K, once in a while meter/ acceleration / clutch cable change, changed tires once. (and other very obvious wear and tear items) Over! Rest everything is stock as you see in the picture. This picture has taken very recently after I did a polish job at home on a Sunday, original paint, original body panels, original switches including horn, noting has been changed and everything works. Engine has not touched and bike runs without making any rattling sound even today.

This will last another 15 years easily...

Crossing one lakh, reading at 7K now, how many more it ran when the meter cable was broken is unknown

The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-1618052492456.jpg

Then why do I need another bike? If I get parts, libero will go on for another 15 years and as long as I get parts, this bike will be with me. Because it’s been 15 years since my last bike purchase I was thinking about getting another bike. Also at times like everyone who is using a 100cc bike, wished the bike had more power. Last December while meeting a relative we had a discussion about his Dominar 400, I was just listening to what he was saying and something triggered, if not now, then when? I should actually get a good bike at this age, I am not gonna get a 350CC+ bike when I am 50. You can also call it mid 30 crisis.

Then for the first time ever in my life started doing some research about bikes. I don’t care about any brand, the bike should suit me, I should be able to handle it properly and should be reliable. RE was ruled out because of my thin physique, I am 5”8, height is not the issue, but having used friends RE’s I have struggle moving it backward and stuff when the bike is stationary. In 2019 I had booked Jawa and when it was time to register the bike, my brother asked me if he can purchase it coz he like the bike a lot. Me not being a bike buy said okay and actually he saved from lot of trouble, that bike had so many issues at the beginning and things are kind of settled for now. So yeah, I can handle Jawa easily though it weighs 180KG. I started looking for my options in that area, found it, modern retro.

There I got to know about Honda CB350. Then came the bummer, it is sold through Big Wing only. Did some checking in Honda normal showroom and they told me Big Wing is coming to my town. Found out who has taken the dealership and booked the bike on December. No test ride, nothing, if I can handle Jawa comfortably, then I can handle this, that much I knew from reviews and stuff.

I was gonna purchase CB350 only if I get service in my town, I am not gonna travel some 70 or 150 KM just get this serviced. Also a close friend from my town had Triumph and he used to go to Cochin to get the bike serviced and once the initial josh was over he found it hard to find the time to go get the bike serviced. After two years or something he sold the bike and purchased Interceptor, which has service in my town. Like I said, everything is not for everyone.

Fast forward March 2021, got a call from SA, bike has arrived at showroom and need to make the payment. Mine is Deluxe version and 230000/- on road, price hiked? I have the bill if anyone wants to know more in detail. Calculated some loan figures and realized it is ridiculous, paid full cash. Got the bike yesterday. Smooth delivery process, very professional staffs, I have got nothing to complain about.

Much has said about this bike and how it rides and so on in this 62 pages and thanks to all the riders who has provided valuable feedback and opinions about this bike, much appreciated.

So how is this bike for a guy who has been using a 100CC bike?

It is “WOW” and how is this thing so “Smooth?”

Weight distribution is nothing but amazing, hats off to Honda, I can easily move this bike while stationary and once starts moving it is just like riding my Libero but with more power, control and a good feeling. Much has said about how smooth the bike is and everything, so I will just get to what I did not like about the bike.

No crash guard. I don’t mind paying for it, but the damn thing is not available right now. Will get accessory by this month end or next month.

Front mud flap is a must, is it a design flaw? Lot of dirt is thrown into the engine from front tyre. If Honda is not providing one, I should look for an alternative.

Indicator/Horn switch position, will take time to get adjusted to that.

That’s it, everything else is good. Thanks for reading.

Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh

Finally after 14 years and 1.25L kms under his belt my Thunderbird AVL is being semi retired.

The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-tb2.jpeg

couple of years ago, I bought a sparingly used 2016 model CBR250. which I unknowingly fell in love. Did some insane speeds on it but never any rides more than 300 Kms. at the end of it before I could do some serious long drives, my brother started pestering me for it and I ended up gifting it to him.

The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210410-1.34.38-pm-2.jpeg
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-tb.jpeg
After, giving up CBR250. I was on lookout to replace my TB for my long rides so the wait began for Honda to launch their new cruiser bike. Initially my guess was that HONDA will be launching their REBEL 300 but it turned out to be a damp squib.
Once HONDA H'ness was launched, I was not interested in a roadster which bore a classic look, as I was already spoiled for comfort on my TB. during Feb when HONDA came up with CB350 RS I was again all ears. Barring the 17" Rear tyre change this new bike was again a typical HONDA release (colors & stiickers).
In march finally heard from sources that CB500X was being launched. I waited for the bike to be launched thinking that if on-Road Price would be around 6.5L, I would pick one. and finally when HONDA launched the bike at 6.87L Ex-showroom and around 8.35L On-Road my spirit fizzled off.

slowly but surely I started to feel that "I was waiting for something that's never gone to happen". so the next day itself went to RE & HONDA showroom's to test Meteor & H'ness

After test riding Meteor, I had to drop the Idea as I already had TB which I'd be holding back for my regular city rides. also the other thing that bothered me is ability to saddle in case you hit a big pothole or bump during the highway rides.

When I took the test ride of H'ness, what caught my attention is the butter smooth engine and plaint ride at 80-110 Kmph speeds.

The following is the list of Pro's and Con's according to me

Pro's
1. Smooth sailing at speeds of 80-110 Kmph
2. Lack of Vibration at cruising speed
3. Very Good Mileage (38+) at cruising speeds of 80-110 ( currently my TB returns 33-35 Kms when ridden between 70-85 Kmph)
4. Tubeless Tyres, ABS, Traction Control (my TB lacked these)
5. Long service duration of 6K Kms (TB was 3-4K Kms)
6. Super smooth clutch

Con's
1. Centre of Gravity is not as low as TB
2. LED's are not as good as my current 90/100 headlight setup on TB.
3. have heard lots of complaint about front mud guard not fully protecting slinging of mud during rains
4. when engine is running, pressing start button again activates the starter
5. Seats shake, front mudguard makes noise over potholes
6. lack of storage space. my old CBR250 had much more space than CB350

The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210410-1.34.38-pm.jpeg

Note:
1. A lot of you might be pessimistic about the lack of service centre's. but my experience with any bike is. "If you don't maintain the bike and do pre-emptive replacement of wear n tear parts. then no matter how many service centre you have it will always break"
2. My previous experience with CBR250 taught me that. if you learn minor repairs especially wrt electrical connections, it will not keep you stranded

Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh

This is an update on fixing one of the cons on HONDA CB350 Hness

On 14 April Received call From BigWingBlr (VFM Honda) about the arrival of my number plates. As it was a day off took the Bike to their Service centre on Cambridge layout to get the new number plate fixed.

That particular day In Bengaluru there was heavy rains especially around Cambridge layout, MG Road, ulsoor & hebbal. By the time I was back at my place the slush and the sand were sticking to the bike like ore to the magnet. my Shoes and jeans also had slush and sand to their content.

once at home searched youtube for a fix and found a video by "Raj Ka Garage" about solving this by using RX100's mud flaps

bought the mudflaps online from amazon on
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08RX8CN26/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

also 3M automative tape on
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

once everything arrived
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210417-5.46.10-pm-1.jpeg

opened the front mudguard
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210417-5.46.10-pm-2.jpeg

stuck the mud flap using 3M double sided tape
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210417-5.46.09-pm-2.jpeg

and refitted the front mudguard and the rear Flap
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210417-5.46.09-pm-1.jpeg

The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210417-5.46.09-pm.jpeg

used 1/4" socket set with no 6 allen key.
The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh-whatsapp-image-20210417-5.46.10-pm.jpeg

Also after this DIY exercise, drove the bike for around 20Km. and I am really happy with back wheel Flap and "OK OK" Happy with the front flap as it does what is needed from it, but still splashes a bit on the engine

Note: The rear mud flap of RX100 is a plush fit for the front fender of CB

Installed a very good quality Angled Riser (For short riders) and am pretty happy with the result. The handlebar is now closer and the height is perfect for my back

Nice looking handlebar risers from Carbon Racing.

Any need to re-route the cables after fixing these handlebar risers?
