Used to do the same on the Versys.

But with the Compass in the parking now, Aerox is slightly exposed to the rain during heavy showers. Cloth will be a messy solution and hence ordered the cover as well. Temporarily though - a folded old bedsheet is being used.

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Checked out Aerox in Hyderabad
I was enquiring about Aerox with multiple dealers nearer to my locality - in Somajiguda, Madhapur and Kukatpally. None of them have test drive or demo vehicle, but want me book and wait, with expected delivery in July.

I casually reached out to a new blue square outlet in Musrambagh and surprised to hear they have ready stock in all colours. So l decided to dare the peak traffic all the way to see the vehicle and also to get my current vehicle evaluated. The outlet experience is good and SA is supportive. Priced perfectly without any discounts but not loaded either. There are no ready accessories. Vogo is the their partner tied up for exchange and offered only 20k for my 2017 mastero edge. I listed it on OLX and closed deal for 35k in 4 hrs. Planning to book as soon the RC is transferred and blocking one vehicle by paying token amount. If anyone are interested, SA indicated they have enough stock though didn't disclose how many units.

The scooter looked perfect except for front indicators, which are hidden and don't serve the purpose. I'll share the developments soon.

Which colour looks good between black and grey.

Great buy there! Between Black and Grey I'd choose BLACK

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Got the Aerox PPF & Ceramic coated at The Detailing Mafia, Trivandrum.

The colour and the shine is quite something else now, but there are a couple of bubbles and edges to be sorted (which they promise will be cleared by itself, or fixed / replaced during a maintenance wash coming up in a couple of weeks time).

Dr CD, was it PPF'ed first and then ceramic coated? Or vice versa? How much did it come to, in total? The final output looks good!

Dr. Neil, we have many detailers on the forum who could argue for hours together on this topic. But anyways, here goes -

Their process was to prepare the vehicle first with a 5-step washing process, followed by claying. PPF was applied on top of this prepared surface and ceramic (designed for film) was applied on top of the PPF.

I went with TPH instead of the more expensive TPU film - which has lesser shine and resistance to yellowing. This is where the ceramic is supposed to help. Anyways, promised warranty is for 5 years.

Cost - 10k. May be cheaper to just replace the panels, but I've found out the hard way that scooters will pick up the maximum scratches and get the least attention in return - and no replacement will ever happen. This, hopefully, will be a one stop solution for 5 years at the least.

One more picture in natural light. PS: I hear the Aerox was quite the attention magnet there, with people walking in just to check it out.

Also, ordered one cover from Amazon. R15 fit which suits fine, except for the buckle. Not very sure if this is Tyvek as experienced guys like Sebring confirm it isn't, but somehow looks the same as shown in Dupont's own website - but anyways I've decided to use it for now.

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Panels/spares aren't available at the moment. There are two 'accident vehicles' lying at service for months now, which are not getting any help. I'm riding 'really really' carefully, given that one could easily get carried away with its performance

There are locally fabricated one's available with Chinese top boxes. The good ones by Givi are still not here. I'm waiting for my set. By the way did you drill holes for the tankbag setup.

From where did you get these bags? In Bangalore who is the dealer? Also spares have a downtime of 3 days to a week maximum. Just depends how frequently the dealer orders parts from Yamaha. Because usually a big order is sent once or twice a month and everything is billed together. That way they get incentives on amount of parts billed. I can get you the parts in a week if you ever need. Infact the kyb shocks are available if anyone needs them.
