The dealer in Bangalore mentioned that the new BS6 Stage 2 version is being launched in four different colours. Other changes (if any) are not yet known. Although the pics appear to show the vehicle with a different rear suspension, that has not been confirmed by Yamaha as on date.

These are looking smashing. And I'm glad the new suspension is out

Thank you Rigid Rotor and Sebring.

Sebring, you seem to have some knowledge about the new suspension, could you elaborate please. The only fly in the ointment with this beautiful looking scooter is the suspension, if it could be sorted I might be interested . Usage for me would be just basic commuting in and around my area, nothing long as such.

I rode a friends Aerox with an aftermarket suspension (don’t know which one) but still found it hard. He said he still has to fine tune it, but I am not sure how much of a difference it would make.

What’s the company recommended tyre pressure front and rear? Maybe playing with that along with the new suspension may make it liveable for me.

Appreciate inputs from you’ll and the community.

Thank you.

Cheers

Cyborg, As you are aware Yamaha had called a few enthusists to give feedback on their new suspension design. It was really fantastic, soaked up undulations beautifully, and I wanted to have that fitted right then and there. But they said theyre sending it to HQ for validation, and next batch would have these. 22/29 is the tyre pressure but the bike still struggles on rough roads. On smooth Tamilnadu roads, it performed brilliantly

The new suspension sounds really good, appreciate if you could keep in mind and update as and when the new model with the new suspension is launched and you have had a go at it. I am in no hurry to buy this.

Thanks again Sebring.

Cheers

Just a word of caution - the new suspension is NOT confirmed. Technical changes, if any, are NOT confirmed. The pics well may have been the Malay Aeroxs, just to depict the new colours. We need to wait till Yamaha India releases the specs / technical details or even pictures of the Indian Aeroxs.

The most important tech change which is definitely coming, is that the new model will be compatible with E20 Petrol, which is bound to replace E10 petrol at least in the metros within the next couple of years. Also of course, the Yamaha specific port will also be replaced with an OBD-II

RCB A2, the difference it makes on the ride is remarkable. Started with something small, will upgrade in the future if needed.

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

I read in today's local news paper that Aerox BS6 stage 2 is launched with an ex showroom price of 1.43 lakhs, with a new e20 compliant engine. The new version seems to have same key features as old one with some cosmetic changes. New features include traction control and hazard lights. There is also a variant with gold ascents and gold colored alloys, which looked hideous to me personally.

The fear of BT module draining battery is real, so make sure you start it daily. Mine packed up (Sep 2021 bike). Replacement came it at a pricey Rs 5,600 change (Imported from Indonesia)

That's quite expensive for a two wheeler battery. I understand the cost is because of the import. But is it possible to avoid this situation by removing the Bluetooth module altogether?

Will it still drain if it is not initialized at all? I haven't set up Bluetooth yet. And scooter is mostly used during the weekends, since its remote work all through the week.

If this is an on going issue you guys should look into getting a trickle charger for the battery. I saw a few generic ones on Amazon for 1500 bucks. Worth the cost if your battery costs 5k+. My 2 paisas.

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

I have been getting a whizzing/screeching sound from the left rear side whenever I give a light throttle. It is prominent when the speeds are kept in between 30-40 kmph. At higher speeds either it does not happen or I cant hear it because it is damped by other noises. I am not sure how to explain the sound and it bothers me now. Anyone in this forum could shed some light on this if they have experienced it.
