hey ElectraTspark,

Today I had been to the RE showroom at my place for payment of my Electra and happened to see the change in headlamp. Earlier it used to clear glass with multi-focal reflector. But the one I saw today was having a multi-focal glass and plain reflector, the way it used to be on the standard. Does your bull have a similar one or the clear glass ? The CL's also have the same glass and come with an eyelid factory fitted, I guess. the dealer had 2 CL's of both the versions and both had the same old type glass.

The OEM was clear lens multifocal reflector. I have now switched to multi focal glass with plain reflector (Auto pal). I have also added the eye lid. I've added you on gtalk.

Hi guys!

Glad to see activity!

The rear plate connecting the short bottle to the frame broke off today. Was forced to tie the exhaust using a rope to the frame.

Was supposed to get the magic seat which would deliver me from the backache. But that wasn't to be.

In any case, not to be outdone by luck, I decided to get the foam changed on the current plate. Took 2-3 long hours. I got the back raised, the middle depressed and the front raised.

Something like what nasirkaka did.

Facing the exact same issue. The plate is too small, I am literally on the tank right now. Even though the back support is appreciated, I can't find a right position.

Re-tuned the Bull as well. It was not running lean, was in fact quite perfectly brown.

I am inclined to blame the XtraPremium petrol. Sucked out most of the top end.

@Those unhappy with the UCE mill's sound

My fellow brethren, a free-flowing exhaust does change things very positively. Do take care that the change comes after 2-3k kms.
You have a number of options:
- a short bottle
- a gold star
- a bazooka
- a rocket
- Punjab silencer
- Indore
- Chennai goldstar
- upswept goldstar

My vote however goes to the Punjab silencer. Sounds punchier than my short bottle and nowhere as irritating as a goldie.
It has a huge dia for the bubble and the end muzzle, longer than a long bottle. Do expect some serious torque issues, but the sound is to die for.

Do lemme know if anyone needs any help with their Classics in NCR!

Cheers people!

Thanks ElectraTSpark.

I saw one invite on gtalk by the name surajss. Is that you?

Also check the last post on page 23.
Does the change in reflector change the light throw or just the look.?

Regards,

Rahul

yes thats me.yes change in reflector and right kind of bulb makes a lot of difference in terms of spread and throw. In my experience convex glass has a Good throw than flat ones

Guys, while cleaning my bike I came across this dangling gasket/seal at the kicker shaft. Didn't notice it before and I wonder if I should get it checked at the service center right away or just wait until my 1st service (another 300 kms to go).

Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks a lot
Felix

@Felix- No need to worry, its just a extra piece of gasket which goes nowhere. You can pull it down with your hand and forget about it.

Hey Achint, can you confirm the movement of ammeter needle on your bull?. Just need to know how much the needle deflects to the right with the headlight on or just look at the video file I posted and see if its same on your bike.

Exactly!

The riding is gonna stop again (shifted to a cab, 90 kms during rains would have been killer).
That day one of the nuts holding the rear seat and the rear shocks together with the frame came off. :P

All part of owning a Bull, I guess.

What happened to the Delhi plan?

Delhi plan is happening for sure as I need a new rear tyre. Left with only 20% tread on rear.

Whats happening with slime?

The nut on your came off and on mine the bolt broke.

@Felix- why is the chain lock on your bike facing the wrong direction?
