HH Karizma:
Pros: stress free engine
You got to be kidding. The Karizma is one bike which i feel could have done with a few more horses and it shows how the bike knocks on low revs.

No kidding...Karizma's engine lacks horses, thats why its stress free. The more the horses u cram in 224 cc the more stressed the engine is.

Moreover, Engine Life Factor (ELF) depends upon HP-Torque-RPM curve. AFAIK,

DTS-FI - 20 BHP @ 8500 rpm - normal ELF
Comet - 27 BHP @ 10500 rpm - more wear n tear if I want to extract all the horses
Kari - 17 BHP @ 7000 rpm - excellent ELF

These figures tell that Kari's engine will last longest and Comet's will last shortest. But Kari is least fun to ride and comet will still kick some bada**, even after DTS-FI is launched.

What say all??

On the other hand if you are producing high power & torque at lower RPMS the load on chain & sprocket is high which means frequent changing of these(which is the case with ZMA). basically there are lot of thing you can not genralise. The tech these days usually takes cares of the diff factors.

Btw how do you know teh DTS-FI is producing peak power 8500 rpm ?? because as of today this is biggest mystery to all

I am quoting specs from Autocar India August edition;

L/W/H:2035/750/1140mm
Wheelbase:1350mm
Kerb weight:150kg
Engine Layout:Oil+Air cooled Single, 4 stroke,220 cc
Power: 20 BHP at 8500rpm
Torque: 1.95kgm at 6500rpm
Specific output: 91 BHP per litre.....more specs in Autocar.

By this time probably, all the Auto mags would have quoted the same figures.

Confirmed specs....These were supplied by Bajaj to various auto journos when they were called for a prelim ride at chakan, pune.

Anyone knows about the confirmed price of the bike yet? Guys on a prominent biking forum are talking about DTS-FI being 80K OTR Pune!!!!

If they stick to this price, then it would be almost a steal!!! Here in Indore, prices are even less, all the bikes cost atleast 3-4k less than pune OTR prices!

Hi all,
Read the Business India?
Bajaj state that they will launch 1 big(???) bike every year upto 2008. Say there is nothing stopping them to go to 500, 600 or even 1000 cc .
Expected launch of Fi=Sept. 06.
Lets wait and see.

Zulfikar,
You said it.
The way they are pussyfooting around with this launch, one would think they are re-inventing the concept of biking in India.
What is commendable though, is that as regards the engineering, they have done everything on their own.

No launch date yet? The bike does look fantastic except for the digital speedo. The instrument panel must be symmetric for easy read and they go for bright orange? How about an LED display instead of LCDs with backlight?

Hi Friends!!

Hi how r u all, after a long time I m again here in this forum.Actually a week back, I met with a accident and my left hand got severly injured even in right hand there is little pain while writing or typing.

I m really missing all the discussion in this forum. Now I m here again.

There is only 1 sad point for me that now I have to cancel my gangotri plan as my friend was not able to extend his leave but still I want to visit somewhere so I have decided to go Himachal Pradesh(chandratal lake or Kinnaur again.) since one of my friend is still ready to go but he is interested in Himachal.

Still my position is not ok to drive the bike but I m very optimistic that I will recover fully within next 3-4 days after all travelling (specially in himalayn range) is the only great thing in my life.
