Oh! Sorry to spoil your party, but sale of all Hyundai cars through CSD is stopped for the time being as per a letter dated 27 Jan 2016.
I have a copy of the a/m letter and can pm you if required.

Re: Hyundai Elite i20 : Official Review

Hi guys,
Got delivery of my 2016 Elite I20 Asta (O)- White CRDI on Thursday.
A few points:
-The C-Pillar is shiny and not matte.
-We have a short antenna in the 2016 model.
-Comes with Projector Headlamps and DRLs as in Active
-The IRVM is not ECM. We get the ones which 2015 Asta (O) had.
-Alloy wheels are retained from the older model. Thank god the active's alloy's are not fitted in this..

Enjoying the ride now.. Will post pics soon...

Visited showroom for checking the 2016 model.
Took the S-Cross to i20; i20 is weighing more as of now. Waiting for Vitara-Brezza to decide.

Price list below (Chennai prices). Top diesel is just shy of 1 million now. No extended warranty offered.
Ex-showroom | Insurance | Road tax&Regn | On-Road

Bangalore dealer is offering 3rd year warranty at about 4000 for petrol and 9000 for diesel i20.

The SA also mentioned that it's extendable for another 2 years, but that has not been confirmed

Thanks for the useful information , it is public now, the issue is offering of no discount on Creta, CSD has stopped sale of all Hyundai cars, i have my fingers crossed & hope it is resolved at the earliest.

Here's the link to the article & the letter:

Actually the main issue is not discounts. It is introduction of Creta in CSD list.
CSD cannot claim to get special discounts. These are at the sole discretion of the carmaker and dealers.
When a vehicle is introduced into CSD, during purchase, the tax component is waved off by the government for the servicemen/ex servicemen with no effect whatsoever on the dealer or the car maker.
I was interested in CSD purchase, therefore i had on my own written to Hyundai in Jul 2015 itself as soon as it was launched about their plans for introduction of Creta in CSD. They gave me a very vague reply and before booking my Creta off the shelf, i also spoke to the concerned authority in the ministry and was informed of the reluctance of Hyundai. Maybe the demand being high, they were waiting for it to cool off as there will be another small surge in bookings once the car is available ex csd.
Hopefully will be resolved soon.

Would it be possible to replace my current headlamps with projector ones from the latest model?

Re: Hyundai Elite i20 : Official Review

Folks,

Any idea, what is the max current that one can withdraw from the charging point, I see many products available which convert the single port into multiple ones.

Are they safe to be used? Currently I am using a nokia charger which is rated at 2.1 amp and has 2 USB ports, to help power the dash cam, and the other for charging the mobile.

On amazon some chargers of rating of 2.1 in every port are also available, wondering whether it would be a smart thing to buy and use?

Regards
Shailesh

In my son's i20 Active SX AVN diesel, it is clearly mentioned on the two power outlets 12V 180W, translating into 15 amps. However, the fuses for these 2 power outlets are 20 amps each. So, it is safe to draw upto 20 amps from each of these power outlets. I regularly use my 15 amp portable air compressor on both i20 Active and my XUV 500 without any issues.

It is possible but they cost INR 35k, that's why I dropped the plan.

35k just for the projector headlights or it also includes other features that they have brought in?
