I don't think it's just the price that makes SCross entering into NEXA. If that was the case, the YRA and YBA won't be in NEXA before Ciaz. IMO, the following will be available in NEXA:

SCross
Ciaz 1.6
YRA
YBA

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

1. When do we expect the prices to be released ?
2. Will some unique treatment await the Nexa owners at the service station also ?

1. August 5th

2. No Nexa Service stations to start with. Special treatment for 'Premium Customers' needs to be seen though.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Why is minimum booking amount lesser for scross? Ciaz demands 21000 for booking. Scross asks 11000. Premium product should be asking something like 50000, like Honda right!?

Like they've said, its the minimum booking amount. If you are sure of buying, you can pay more

Since pre-bookings are fully refundable, I don't see any reason to bother too much.

OTOH, I appreciate Maruti's uniform amount and approach to handling bookings as against Hyundai's negotiable booking amount - in the Creta's case, it ranged from 25 grand to a lakh of rupees.

Minimum booking for my two wheeler was 60k. Lol! Jokes apart. If your SA was right about the top trim 1.6 being 12L ex-showroom, Creta will feel the pinch, rather harshly.

Hey, where is it in Blr? Do they have a display car atleast? Can you share full address or google maps link?

Call Bimal or Pratham Motors, they should be able to direct you to their folks in Nexa outlets that they have.
Prathams Nexa outlet is on St.Marks Road and Bimal on ORR near Mahadevapura Bagmane tech park.

I'm beginning to think, even though the S-cross is the better car it may not be the case for India. Can't help but think that the Vitara would have been a better option with a more competitive price to take on the Creta, Duster, Ecosport than the S-cross.

In the link they say Duster is cheaper than Vitara and SCross in their market. They also say that SCross is worth the extra money over Duster.

This I believe indicates we should not be too optimistic about the pricing specially the DDIS320. I believe it will be priced at par with Duster.

DDIS200 is what will drive volumes. I think how they price it will be the key to Scross's success. I expect top end to be priced around 50K more than Ertiga.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

If the Vitara is below the S Cross why cant Maruthi release the new Vitara?
I mean it looks much better and is a proven offroader.
It would have given the Creta some serious competition.

If they launch that green paint in India, I am going to get that with 1.6 DDiS. Since Palio, I've not seen that beautiful color in any car here.

I don't like the looks of this vehicle.
I saw the Creta yesterday, and should admit that it looks good.
But the Duster in my opinion tops the list as far as looks go.

Need to drive the S- cross to make a comparison with the rest.

Seems like Maruti Suzuki have tried their best to give this vehicle a premium touch.

Thats probably the Allgrip version with the dual clutch gearbox that they are talking about, which if brought to India would cost close to 18-20L OTR.
Wishful thinking
