I am not very sure about the cost, this is what I have heard. If I knew the owners, I would have asked all the details . If you want headlights of new Alpha which has led projectors and DRL, that itself costs more than 40k.

Dont know how good the headlamps on the new S-cross are though.
It's better than 25W HID setup of previous S-Cross Alpha. But the cost and effort spent for these is too much. If the owner badly wants the new face, then it's fine .

Yes, both the cars were spotted at Maruti service centres (Bangalore & Pondicherry). I think even the front member is changed to accommodate the new bumper. The design is slightly different.

Can the new grill be fitted on 1st gen Zeta variant? I really like the new grill compared to that of the the 1st gen. It gives the Scross a bit of character.

No, it's not a direct fit. You have to change all the parts

Won’t the bonnet & fenders also need to be replaced in order to make the new grill & bumper fit?

Yes, the bonnet has to be changed for sure. If you observe the pic of that white car, you can clearly figure out that bonnet is not painted from factory. I am not very sure about fenders, they look the same in old and new models.

Is this fitment authorized by Maruti Suzuki ? Even for Zeta variants they do not update to Apha headlights and hence surprised if this kit is from Maruti.

LOL ! In that case, I will stick to the current face and upgrade to Compass in the near future, that is, whenever FCA launches Diesel AT. India certainly lacks the options and ways to customize their rides as compared to US/UK. I am specifically referring to company offered authorized options and not 3rd party jugaads.

As I posted above, both the cars were getting the work done at Maruti itself. I can't say if it's authorised, unlikely. Anyways all the parts can be ordered at MGP store

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Got the 30,000 kms service done at Pasco, Rajeev Chowk (Gurgaon).

No complaints, it was a regular service. Costed me ~5700.

The Rs 2700 as pure service charges pinch !!

I got mine done for 3899/-. This was 2.xxk for oil and 600 bucks for cabin filter. Did you get the alignment and balancing done as well?

Now this is something I said i would be interested in.
Big question is that, do these changes impact airbag sensors in any way?

Airbag sensors in S-Cross are located behind the front member. As seen on the pics, even front member is changed during plastic surgery for face lift .

Thanks

In that case I'll let my plan go for the plastic surgery.

No, did not get wheel alignment or balancing done.

How much were the service charges at MASS in your case ?

Edit: Sorry, my mistake. I wrote third service. I meant 30k service. Apologies.

So the difference is the labour I guess. What a rip off. My SA tried to push alignment and balancing for 1600 + cost of weights + Tax. Got it done outside for 1100.
