Nexa service centres are getting opened up in many cites now. Not to forget, they are not exclusive for Nexa cars. Any Maruti car owner can get the "premium Nexa service"

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

S-Cross 1.6 : 30k KM Labour charge issue

I think that Maruti has done a mistake here. For all Maruti diesel cars, 30k km labour charge is high because of EGR cleaning. S-Cross 1.6 doesn't need EGR cleaning, still more labour is charged at 30k km service.

PMS charges at Tier C service centres

20k km labour charges : ~1400

30k km labour charges : ~2300

For S-Cross 1.6, the jobs are also lesser in 30k km service. 20k km service has additional jobs like changing fuel filter, coolant and brake fluid. I don't understand why Maruti charges S-Cross 1.6 owners more for 30k km service. I understand that S-Cross 1.3 needs EGR cleaning and more labour is totally justified.

I have escalated the same to Nexa and Maruti. The issue is being discussed at dealer, TSM, Regional office levels. I hope Maruti corrects it and reduce the Labour charge of S-Cross 1.6 at 30k km

P. S : As per circular sent to dealers, Maruti doesn't recommend EGR cleaning at all for S-Cross 1.6. Full system has to be replaced.

Thanks for your reply. I tried to get it done at Nexa but eventually had to do it myself. Have posted the procedure here.

Are NEXA cars serviceable at the Maruti dealer workshops too? A few days ago, the owner of the local MASS was cribbing that Maruti was doing them a disservice by not allowing them to take in cars from the NEXA stable. What's more, the company had (as per him) refrained from organising the annual MASS conference to avoid uncomfortable questions regarding the same.

Nexa cars can be serviced at Maruti dealer workshops. But, they can't be serviced at Maruti authorised service centres. These service centres do not have sales.

60,000 Kms update:

Just came back from Lucknow, took the Yamuna Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway both ways. No complaints from the car except that the JKs and the engine are always audible

Will be taking the car for 60,000 Kms service soon

Odo at 60k kms, crossed this milestone in 14.5 months of ownership:

That's a whopping 4137 Kms per month or an average of nearly 138kms per day!
How have you been able to achieve such a feat? Does your job entail so much of travel?

After seeing the new face lifted version on road, do not know why, the old design looks pretty good now.

I own an old design scross 1.6 and planning to change the face to the new one. New one to me looks more muscular and SUVish than the old one.

and market seems to have accepted the facelift very well.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I gave my 1.3 zeta to the ASC for minor dent-repairing and tinkering work. Yesterday the car was delivered to my home; today morning I noticed in the dashboard cluster the car clock is wrong; fuel economy is reset to 0 ; avg speed is reset to 0 ; and the range is blank ( 3 'dash' symbols same as we see when fuel goes into reserve). The tank is half-full. After drifving for a few KM, I see that the fuel economy and avg speed displays have started afresh. but the range is still showing blank. Can anyone please help how to 'activate' the range display.

Nothing to worry, they must have disconnected the battery. The range is usually the last to come up but it should start showing up after you drive some more. It happened to me as well after one of the services and was all right in some time.

My car does 110 kms/day on weekdays, 100 kms/day on weekends inside the city. No, I do not work for Ola/Uber .

Rest of the kms are clocked on highways.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I had removed the glovebox to check new cabin air filter which was installed during service. I was curious because the original filter which came from factory was made in Germany. The new one is made in India. But the filters look same and both are MANN filters.

Old filter (OE from factory, Made in Germany)

There was a bad sighting for me. I know this is normal but felt sad looking at so much rust

Any idea if this seat is ISOFIX compatible? A Nexa price list in another thread list this seat at Rs.5990/-. If it's ISOFIX compatible them it is real Value For Money.
