Thanks. No additions at all. I don’t think I’m going to add anything other than floor mats for the time being. Need to put in more km and figure out what I need. The main one on my wish list is the black pack and choke delete. Just wondering how it’s possible to do.

Took delivery this evening. Went to the temple for a customary Pooja. And went out for dinner.

Then it was a post dinner 50km drive to get a feel of the car. It was a very pleasant and quiet drive. The car feels solid and cocoons you from the outside world.

Early impressions - very happy with the car.
Heartiest Congratulations on the first delivery on Teambhp. For the rest of us , the wait continues!
I have to admit, Tiguan looks really good in white. Wish you many safe and adventurous miles.
Read that you are only buying the floor mats. What about the mud flaps?

Thanks. Yes the white looks good in person. I was in two minds between white and silver. But white is not the colour if the car needs to stand out. I am getting the floor mats from 3M as the dealership don’t have the floor mats without the full accessories package. And I am not too keen on mudflaps and have not fitted them in any of my cars so far. Just a personal preference I guess.

Yet to explore the features in the car. Will update.

Congratulations on the new Car! I wish you and your family several enjoyable and memorable road trips with the Tiguan.
The white looks fantastic, I must say.

Do give us a detailed review of the car once you get settled in!

Congratulations, looks gorgeous! But what is 'black pack and choke delete'? Also, I am still curious about fitting a full-size tyre in the wheel-well instead of the smaller temp spare tyre. If you do that, would greatly appreciate a photo or two! [Sorry to continue harping on this, but this remains one of my most serious areas of concern in my eventual decision regarding the Tiguan].

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

I guess I have to blame the auto correct for the confusion.
I was referring to the black pack available on the R line cars sold elsewhere and CHROME delete.

BTW got the 3M Nomad mats today. Black colour.

A black pack with the spoiler and the chrome delete would look absolutely killer. The Panda combo looks so good on the Vw’s.

Dealer has informed that 3 cars are being shipped to them next week, one of them being black.
Hopefully, if everything works out well, might get delivery in the coming weeks.
Fingers crossed!

Also, has anyone seen the car in Grey or Silver? If yes, can you share any pictures?
Thanks.

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

My sales advisor has told he will try his best to give my car in March. I have given two colour options - white and silver.
Each dealer is getting only 3-4 cars each month. So it seems unlikely that I will get my car anytime soon.

This feedback is the same from my SA, 3-4 cars allocation until end of feb. Post that they are hoping to get increased allocations.
I did see personally that my dealer had 3 deliveries in feb already.

There is a kings red coming as per my dealer. Will be interesting to see how that looks in person.

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

First long drive in the Tiguan. The car is super comfortable and the suspension feels very good. Maybe a slight stiffness, but very comfortable. The car has a bit of body roll in corners, but my comparison is to sedans and not other SUVs. Didn’t push the car as the engine is still in run period. The car returned an overall efficiency of 13kmpl as per the display, over a distance of 220 km. The roads were a good mix of 4 lane highways, single lane and dual lane roads with medium traffic. Speeds were between 80 to 110kmph. Didn’t get to test the headlights today. The best part was the ground clearance. Didn’t scrape anywhere, including going over big bumps in the farm. The aircon cooled the cabin well with outside temperatures in the 34 to 35 degrees range. I don’t have any sunfilms installed and don’t feel the need to.
