Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

New prices for the Kodiaq, from the Skoda website, about 1 L more for each variant, ex-showroom: (Incidentally, the prices given in the Autocar report is wrong, based on this)

Edited: Well, turns out the website is wrong. It has now been corrected. the Autocar report is correct. It's a whopping 2.5 L more!! Go figure!

I guess this is because they have opened up the bookings again as per their official social media handles.

Every one is increasing prices like there is no tomorrow . And the sad thing is still most of their supply is lesser than demand and hence the manufacturers are really not feeling the pinch.
Lucky are the ones who bought car before 2020

Despite of price increase, there are tons of customers willing to shell out the amount - without a second thought.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Fellow members has anyone compared the 2nd row of Kodiaq with the Meridian?
We are looking for a spacious 5seater SUV and thinking about the Meridian/Kodiaq/ Tucson/Xuv700 . Unfortunately my ASS does not have a Kodiaq on display or TD.
How is the kodiaq as compared to the Meridian in terms of suspension/ driving dynamics.
Real world FE of Kodiaq in city/highway?

I currently own a Skoda Octavia 1.8 tsi MK3 and its a hoot to drive. Probably i will be selling the Octavia when we buy the SUV.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

I would like to keenly know what changes did Zac Hollis mention will be incorporated in the 2023 Kodiaq. One of the things I would like to see is the Sportline to get some L&K features like 360 camera, adaptive dampers and TPMS. The sportline interior is much more enticing then the bland stone beige of the L&K in my opinion.

Real world FE of Kodiaq in city/highway?
Here are some responses, albeit some of these are my conjectures - I have still not test driven the Kodiaq:

Rear seat:
From my recollection of the second row when the Kodiaq was launched, I think the Meridian second row is superior in comfort (better under thigh support). However I’d want to do a real time comparison since by the time the Meridian was launched there was no Kodiaq to compare with in showroooms.

Suspension:
The Meridian suspension is really good while the Tiguan / Kodiaq have known to be tuned a little stiff. However the L&K has a superior damping set up and I would hope that it provides an equally good ride quality if not better. Again, would be good to compare this real time. My sense is the L&K should be a fairly sophisticated experience on the suspension front.

Driving Dynamics:
Here too, I’d expect the Kodiaq to just be superior. The Meridian handles extremely well but its not right up there with German territory. The steering is comfort oriented and while it certainly doesn’t feel disconnected like Hyundais, neither does it weigh up as much as typical Germans. My expectation here too is that the Kodiaq ought to be a superior

Fuel efficiency:
I can say this from personal experience that the Meridian FE is PATHETIC. I am getting 5 - 7 kmpl in the worst Mumbai bumper to bumper traffic. In similar conditions, my BMW 3 GT is consistently better. Same for the highway, while the Meridian tips into low double digits, my BMW is even more fuel efficient. Driving in similar manner and in similar conditions from owner reports that I’ve read across the forum, the Kodiaq should deliver equal or better FE is my sense.

Again, reiterating, some of these observations are my “expectation” and somewhat dovetailed with my own real world observations with the Meridian.

Hi has anyone seen or bought the steel grey sportline variant of the Kodiaq? Is it similar to the VRS230’s grey?

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Drove about 150 KMs - filled up with XP95, the Avalanche returned a satisfactory FE of 12.6 with mixed drive of city & highway - with 4 persons including me & about 40 KG luggage load.

I am curious about how you were able to get the FE in km/l instead of l/100km which my Kodiaq shows. Is there a setting that needs to be tweaked? I have the analog instrument cluster if that makes any difference.

Yes. I feel like it's the firmware that's making the difference.

I haven't tweaked any setting for this, it's like that right from the day zero.

I am pretty sure there must be a setting from which you can toggle this. Please do search through your settings menu. Most modern cars allow you to choose which format your prefer to be displayed.

It’s in Vehicle settings where you can change the units from l/100km to km/ltr.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Case Update:

My kiddo inserted USB Type-A cable in rear 12V socket - spark flew - 12V sockets ceased to work, though front USB C were working.

Got to dealership & as expected single fuse linked to both 12V sockets blew up - replaced.

Got OBD scanning also done in order to rule out other faults, if present - none found.

Avalanche back to normal.

Posting this as she is being washed.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Kodiaq owners can anyone kindly confirm what is the Ground Clearance 190 or 140mm unladen?
Any issues with the underbody scraping?
Does Kodiaq get a underbody protection plate?

Thanks in advance

Happy Reving.
