I never anticipated that the company will halt bookings, and missed it. And now, the current car needs to replaced a bit urgently.

Good luck, anyway!
Thanks. Car has arrived. I saw it twice, I like the race blue colour and the alcantara interior, what I miss is TPMS, 360 camera and adaptive dampers although I havent test driven the L&K to understand the difference as there is no TD car available.

I have been watching lots of Youtube videos and all say good things about it.

Honestly there is nothing to dislike about the car. As long as you look at it on its own merits and the requirement it ticks almost all the boxes one would want out of a car.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

This is very surprising. My dealer is quoting wait time of 1 year with no availability in near future. Even bookings are temporarily closed.

I was casually browsing through OLX and I noticed ad for new Kodiaq for sale. Upon enquiring, the dealer (used car dealer) informed me he can arrange Sportsline version from across dealers in India but will charge hefty commission. He confirmed availability of three colour options for Sportsline variant. It seems people are trying to milk situation by creating artificial demand/supply scenario. How come suddenly some variant are becoming available in market or is it just the case of people who've booked now cancelling their bookings.

Looks like used car dealers are investing in new cars by booking them only to sell them at a premium later. Something like this happened with XUV700 bookings as well.

As many BHPians have said earlier, Skoda Kodiaq surely punches above its weight, as it is better equipped on almost all fronts. On the engine and chassis front, it is as competent as Mercedes GLC, as Kodiaq shares platform with Audi Q3 and EA888 engine is all tuned by Audi AG. Material quality, NVH, fit, and finish of GLC are certainly a notch above Kodiaq for sure.

All these make Kodiaq quite a value-for-money package, if the badge is not a concern. For badge-conscious buyers, Mercedes becomes a natural choice. Still paying over ₹ 24 lakhs for the badge and upmarket interior looks too much.

GLC’s petrol engine is very lethargic compared to Kodiaq and space is premium in second row seats. I bought the Kodiaq over GLC for the two reasons above.

Of course there is no comparison to the snob value of the three pointed star!

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

After six months of wait, finally the beast has arrived.
Did a quick PDI and everything found to be in order. Should get the delivery by start of next week. The VIN decode shows May / 2022 manufactured and the paint protection cover shows applied on 6/6/2022. So looks like the kit is finished in first week of June.

Thanks in advance
I guess new 2 TSI’s are now getting remapped. Saw an insta post from Code 6 on Superb 2 TSI ECU remap, claimed numbers are 238bhp/388nm

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Great Friday today!
Got my hands on her finally

ODO depicted 8 KMS - that should be fine.

Great assistance & management by Mr. Sandeep Sirohi at Brite Skoda.

I made sure car must not come out of showroom without a Team-BHP monogram - it was there right after the ceremony.

I never owned a vehicle having greater power than 80 BHP, driving her gave me a gush of dopamine & adrenaline at the same time.

Drove about 100 KMS on 1st day with following observations:

1. FE in comfort mode returned 13 KMPL in 1st 100 KMS.

2. Feels supremely solid except for the plastic near AC control.

3. Difficult to get headlights working, especially at evening time when you need high beam on open de-congested road.

4. Powerful AC - in fact I need to turn it off sometimes - later I checked it was set for 19 degree celsius.

5. Good ground clearance.

6. She's on 91 RON fuel & engine is smooth, may fill up with 95 RON later on.

7. Good power & even better pull on open stretches.

8. Automatic stop - start - stop - start can be nuisance in crawling traffic.

9. You get loads of attention & head turns - people will first get confuse her with Kushaq, later on they ask questions.

For the folks in Mumbai looking to score a Graphite Grey L&K model from the dealer, please DM me and I’ll give the cell number of the SA. There is a ready stock. Of course no discount

Same here. Steel Grey Metallic Sportsline is available in ready stock at Ahmedabad. I had a look at it but couldn't convince myself on the colour option as well as my preference is L&K.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Fidelity of this Canton audio system is a bit below my expectations.

Even while playing FLAC files on Bluetooth, audio definition is lower than stock system of i10 Nios. Maybe lower ambient space in i10 gives a tighter sound, but it's definitely better [ODO completed 50K with Nios].

Yeah, it's funny to say & admit, but that's what I observed even after fiddling with Kodiaq's equalizer.

Also, checked out today the woofer in spare tyre.

I second that, Bass is good and tight but the sharpness and vocals are not distinctly heard. One trick that has worked is using Apple's original USB C data cable to play the songs. The sound quality is as good as the bit rate of the slowed link in the chain. The sound quality for USB > Bluetooth > ApplePlay.

Apart from underwhelming audio (not a problem but more of a disappointment) the only other challenge I have is short throw of low beams.

Rest all is not just good, but great. Drive is fantastic, fuel economy is in the range of 7-9kmpl for city and is directly (as expected) proportional to average speed of the trip. Some day plan to gather enough data points and do a scatter plot

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Don't know if the settings are different in the new Kodiaq but there is one setting that made a huge difference in sound previous gen Kodiaq. 'Canton Optimization' change from All to Front.

Audio is amazing in previous gen Canton system of Kodiaq and i doubt its worse now.
