This is the face-lift that will be launched later next year, after the Kushaq face-lift is launched. Expect to see it around July as per rumors. This manual has been on their website for months now, just hoping that they add better reversing camera and sensors in the front as well.

I too came across this 3-4 months ago, but if I’m not wrong, at that time the owner manual was inadvertently published in the website for a brief period and it was soon taken down. But now, it’s there for everyone to view and download.

Here’s the public domain to view all owner manuals - https://manual.skoda-auto.com/663/en-IN/Models

If you click on all models (enyaq, octavia, superb, Fabia, Kodiaq, kamiq, karoq) the production periods mentioned in the dropdown menu is either 2024 Nov or older, including kushaq and Slavia. The only car with a future production date here is Elroq which is mentioned as 2025 Jan. Kylaq is not listed yet for which production should begin in jan 2025 and delivery from jan 27th as announced by Petr Janeba.

Given this inference, I strongly speculate that a minor feature update for both Kushaq and Slavia with these radars should be a reality much much earlier than July. Going by the information mentioned in the manual, apart from these side, lane and front assist, everything is the same as the current model. So, calling this a full blown facelift doesn’t justify a new product versioning. This might be more like a mid cycle refresh like [x].[n+1] and not a generational update like [x+1].[0].

That's good to know! I went to inquire for the 1.0 Prestige AT in Pune, but max discount they were suggesting is 50k, I posted it in the discounts thread as well.
They didn't mention anything about the SVP or EW being free Maybe that is specific to Bangalore?

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

From what I recall, the executives from Skoda mentioned there would be continuous feature additions for both twins.

If it is true, then they might just introduce these as an update rather than a facelift, as @aswin88 mentioned it will be too much to call it a facelift.

Skoda Slavia gets 'Auto Park' via Coding.

Skoda Slavia Owner Activates ‘Auto-Park’ via coding :

The Virtus, Slavia, Kushaq and Taigun share almost all of their components. This means that if the auto parking is activated and perfected on the Slavia, it could be repeated on all the other cars.

P.S: Not affiliated to the youtuber.

Edit: Just came to know that the car belongs to D-BHPian Audioholic.

Yeah I hear it every time when there is a downshift to D2 and sometimes even on upshift from D2 . Initially ASC feigned ignorance and dint give a proper answer on what it is. Ive driven 16k plus now, I got used to it and finds it odd if I don't hear it . Business as usual for Skoda owners

Unfortunately this is very misleading. Some media houses have also written stories about the same. But I had written about the same earlier here:

I was in the process of gathering some good images and videos before I wrote a detailed post here about how the park assist works, and in that process had uploaded a few videos to Youtube already. But it was somehow assumed that this happened with just coding changes and a media house even went to the point of explaining about a 360 degree camera and a software update and what not. Please wait, I will post about the whole thing since I am abroad at the moment.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Hello Bhpians,
I had booked Skoda Slavia Prestige 1.5 DSG Lava Blue on Nov 13 in Hyderabad and initially the SA mentioned that as per Skoda’s official guideline, it was mentioned that it’ll take 8-12 weeks for delivery. On 23 Nov, the SA mentioned that they have one in their Tirupati stockyard and if I’m fine with it they can bring it over to Hyderabad. I requested the VIN and it was Oct 2024 manufactured. So, I gave them a go ahead and informed them that I will pay only after a full PDI. They were fine with it and brought the car to Hyderabad showroom directly by truck on 25 Nov.

Let me share a little bit of background. On 25 Nov, I did check the car out and's already carried out an extensive PDI for an hour, found no issues and I was satisfied. The car was parked next to other test drive cars and I couldn’t fully reach near front left bumper though. I was unable to touch that area alone but took photos etc and looked good to the naked eye from a distance. I didn’t pay much attention as it seemed fine from a distance and came back home. No rust in the engine bay or underbody as well. Everything looked good.

As there was no concern, we decided to proceed and got super excited for our upcoming delivery on Nov 29. After a couple of hours, tried transferring around 4L to the dealer, entered the otp too but suddenly my WiFi buzzed out and was not switching on. And, got the buffering symbol in ICICI, received a call from the bank asking to confirm the transfer, pressed 1 to confirm the as well. But money didn’t get deducted until the next morning (Nov 26). We called the bank and they confirmed that the transaction did not go through and I have to resend. So, somehow I had second thoughts today and I felt like checking the car once again before transferring the amount (as I had some other work closer to the dealer).

This time, the car was parked clear of other vehicles and I started inspecting the car exterior paint once again. I went directly to the front bumper left side and started running my hands through the paint. It felt rough in that area while other panels were butter smooth. Kneeled down closer near wheel well area and noticed a dent protruding outside, not visible to the naked eye from a distance. Touched that area and the lava blue paint was peeling off even with a very gentle touch. The dented area was weak and the paint job was horrible there. Then, inspected the other side of the bumper, few other test drive cars as well. Though the test drive cars had scratches on the bumper, the paint was smooth.

Then, asked for explanation from the SA which then followed the normal dealer behaviour. This is nothing and there is no dent at all etc etc. in denial mode as expected. He then escalated it to the supervisor, manager etc. They finally accepted that it is abnormal and it might have happened either in Tirupati, Kurnool while the vehicle was being transported to Hyderabad from their yard etc. They finally offered to replace the front bumper under my supervision.

I do not know how big or major a problem that it might be, but given this context of failed payment, things happening sooner than expected, I stood firm with my decision and let them know that I’m not going to convinced for this particular unit. The normal wait time for lava blue prestige 1.5 was 8-12 weeks, while this unit suddenly got unblocked from their Tirupati yard which we found it fishy too.

I told them that it’s just one unit for them, but for me, it’s love, emotions, hard earned money, etc. that we would like to cherish for a decade or so. I’m not very comfortable knowing that the car had a dent and I’ll be unaware of the actual history. I baby my car a lot, always keep it shiny and clean, every 6 months I do use turtle wax ceramic spray at home and very attached to my vehicles in general. The SA and manager understood how passionate I’m and respected my decision. The manager told that he doesn’t want to push further to convince me and I need to wait for another 6-10 weeks as per the quoted wait times. I was in terms with it and now the wait continues. Overall, I can’t stress enough the importance of doing the PDI and immensely grateful for the super awesome checklist available here. For me, I have learnt my lesson that I should not rush through my checklist or ignore anything. Red flags will not be like a clear well lit signal, it’ll be more like a cop hiding in the bush with a speed camera. You might not even realize that you were caught and might think that get away at that point (aka delivery) but will get challaned later and have to pay the fine (potential service bill).

I’m also happy that I can spend more time with my blue oval until the newer unit gets allotted to me. I was feeling very very emotional when I had to remove the deity from my Ford Aspire earlier today morning as I was supposed to handover the car to Skoda dealer in the evening. I am now excited to plan for a long drive in my Aspire this weekend.

Good decision. Even the left side fender looks repainted to me, since VAG factory paint has no orange peel at all, at least in my car compared to what we see in this image. Also near the gap of the headlight and fender you can see a faint masking line even in this image. Perhaps this was a transit damage car which the dealer wanted to push to you.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

While I was driving back to Bengaluru last week, it was raining, and I heard scratching sounds from the wipers. I thought that the wiper blades were worn out. It took some time for me to identify the actual issue. The issue was that the spring that holds the wiper blade was scratching the windshield glass.

Has anyone faced this issue?

Disappointing Experience with Service Center:
I called Tafe Access Service Centre, Kudlu Gate, on last Saturday morning to check whether I could visit the workspace to fix the wiper spring issue. But the executive on the other side told me to come after 2 weeks as they have a lot of vehicles and an audit is going on. I then asked Do you seriously want me to wait for 2 weeks to get a minor issue fixed?. She then asked me to contact the service manager.

I contacted the manager and explained the same thing. She said she would arrange someone to visit my home to fix it, and I do not need to go to the workshop. She forwarded me the service advisor contact number after following up over WhatsApp.

When I checked with the service advisor via phone, he checked the video and photos and said he could not fix it at home and I need to visit the workspace. He said he would help me get an appointment this week. I requested him to book a slot for the coming Saturday and am still waiting for confirmation.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

I just came across a video (posted in Slavia owners FB group) of Skoda’s official underbody lights accessory installed from the ASC. Credits to the original uploader in Facebook. It has been posted by an anonymous member.

I was always wondering how will it look in real life and what is the real use of having this installed? This is subjective, but it looks too fancy for my liking.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Got delivery of Skoda Slavia 1.0 Prestige MT today.
There were two issues during the delivery:
1. The car manufacturing month is May-2024. But sales person explained that car was received just 20-25 days before in the yard. He even willing to show the invoice from factory but I did not insist on it.
2. The variant name is still STYLE in documents. I asked the salesperson about it, he said that although variant names have changed by skoda, but for registration purposes variant names are still used as old ones. He even showed the documents for one car which was manufactured in October 2024 but still uses the variant name STYLE.

I checked the car as well as I can check, couldn’t find any issue, so took the delivery. Can someone explain these two issues, is there any reason to worry?

I registered my vehicle with My Skoda app. The app shows variant name as Style and Prestige.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Hi Bhpians,
Came across a video on YouTube suggesting that skodas made post Sep 2024 have their AC setting on the VCDS changed from moderate flow normal temp to high flow and cold temp. This reprogramming has resulted in a mighty fall in temp at the grill from 15° c before to 9.5°C now at a setting of 21°C( i might be wrong about the set temp). Anyone has hands on knowledge about the same? And does this mean that an official "software upgrade " is expected?
Thank you
