If you ask me one auto journo to rely on for a honest opinion (ofcourse after TBHP) , it’s MotorInc !

They’re getting better day by day.

Yes, they are good!

It's such a refreshingly honest review that highlights both the positives and negatives without coming across as biased or promotional. Really hate those reviews by fan boys who can't see beyond their favourite brands.

Hi Guys
I have a Seltos GTX+ Diesel and I am thoroughly enjoying driving it. Covered almost 8.5k Km in last 5.5 months. However, the biggest gripe I have is the insanely annoying 80/120 Km/Hr beep that keeps distracting from what would have been an enjoying drive. I have contacted multiple tuners and they only have solution for European/American brands. So, I was wondering if anyone has found any way of getting rid of this beep. I am willing to experiment. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Any idea how to avoid rusting of disk breaks? Everytime it rains the wheels looks like this and the car has hardly 9000KM old

I don't think much can be done to prevent or avoid rusting other than taking the car out for a spin on a regular basis, even if it's just for a short distance.

Now that is a bit of a surprise. I've noticed similar rusting on our car's disc rotors when parked outside and left unused for a day or two.

This is after car was parked for at 2am from late night travel. As this is frequently used car, I was going to office around 10am when I noticed this. So this level of rusting is from 8 -9 hour window

+1 to that. I started watching MotorInc content about a year ago when the Seltos facelift was announced and I strongly started considering upgrading my car (damn, time flies!). I've continued watching them even after the buying journey was complete purely for the content. No-nonsense reviews, two guys ripping on each other, while talking about very relevant motoring topics that don't really get covered by the typical content creators in this category, all in a refreshingly different setting. They're doing good stuff. I wish them well.

Update as of 30th June 2024:

yesterday I went to Jayanti Kia at Okla, Delhi service center and they initially refused the acknowledge the problem on face-to-face discussion and later on whatsapp.



I insisted on official email response and the dealer sent me this:


Dealer has cleaned the disk brakes.


I am sure this is just poor part quality on Kia side. I checked all Seltos parked in the service center, and all had more or less rust. Other owners please confirm if they are seeing something similar where car parked outside for 6-8 hours is causing so much rust. Also please confirm I should let the matter rest or further action is needed.

I had Honda Jazz and City with disc brakes, and I saw rust only after 1-2 weeks of no usage.

I would love to know if anyone has found a solution to remove the Consider taking a coffee break warning.

A friend has been using Carlinkit 2 in his facelift X Line, and I spent a couple of hours in the car. I was impressed by how seamlessly it was working, so I bought one for my car from Amazon, and as expected, it works seamlessly.

Considering it's the Diesel AT, the mileage is on expected lines, I too get similar mileage in my GTX+ Diesel AT, while the Sonet gives a bit more (it should, considering it's smaller and lighter). Anyway glad to see you are happy with the car.

The only gripe is the absence of Wireless AA and Carplay and I guess Hyundai-Kia just don't care about it. Guess Carlinkit is the only way.

Hello fellow Seltos owners,

I have a question about remote window operation. My previous car, a Polo, allowed me to close all four windows by long-pressing the lock button on the remote. Does the Seltos offer this feature? I tried it but couldn't get it to work.

Additionally, how can I close the windows without starting the vehicle's engine or ignition, Shoudn't window buttons work if the key is in the car ? The owner's manual wasn't very clear for me on this.

Kia/Hyundai seem to have removed the option to switch it off in all facelift models. There was an option in DAW to disable it. Now we only have leading vehicle departure settings.
