It looks like it but it's not, nothing wrong with the wheels. As the photo is shot at an angle, for reference you can look at extreme left yellow pillar and grey supporting column behind the Roxx, they are at same angle.

Who has installed the bumper, the seller or someone else? Check if they have made provisions for the radar controller and if the connections are done properly. Reference image as shared by Proman.

You can ask the dealer to give only 2025 manufactured but I am not sure if they will push you back in the booking. I will check with the dealer when I get a call on allocation. At this point, it's all hypothetical.

I will have to pay an extra 2% road tax for registering the car in Chandigarh as an entry tax which I can live with since my preference is for the Black colour
Yes, since last year there has been this new tax on any cars purchased from outside the city. Not sure about the green tax in Gurgaon. We are also getting ours registered in Chandigarh.

With the launch of BE 6E I am a bit confused whether I should consider that as an option over Roxx.
6E looks better than the other one but I will wait for a while before Mahindra settles in this EV space. Thar/ Roxx is another matter. You should sell Thar, pickup Roxx, and start saving for EV

The radar is typically fitted on the front bumper in cars like XUV700, Creta, Harrier and Safari. The radar is not visible in Thar Roxx like other cars. I remember reading in previous gen Safari that ADAS would not function correctly if number plate was not fit properly and covered some portion of the radar in the front.

I have tried to take a peek at front of Thar Roxx in showroom but was unable to see the radar.

Do you have any picture which can pinpoint the radar location behind the front bumper?

I am facing a new issue, when I try to engage Adaptive Cruise Control it says 'adaptive cruise control condition not met'. Does anyone know what could be the reason?
Just wanted to check if you were trying to activate it below 40km/h. Adaptive cruise control can only be set above that speed. I do not own a mahindra, but in Seltos, the lower limit for activating it is 40. Try going above 60 and setting it to eliminate the issue with the bumper.

The radar is located between the right fog light and the area for putting up the number plate, inside the front bumper, attaching the screenshot from a youtube video. It lies behind the protruding silver part.

Thanks for sharing this.

It looks like the radar has to be removed from original bumper and then fitted into new bumper from the images. If this is true, then I would definitely not change stock bumper to a custom one and have issues with front radar.

Keeping radar behind the bumper would help any damage to the radar from highway stone chips flying from other cars and trucks and to some extent from front collisions where bumper gets damaged. My car has some chip marks on front bumper and bonnet due to the flying stone chips encountered on highway runs.

I do not have a car equipped with radar, so in the new car I am looking at what extra maintenance and precautions to take when buying a car equipped with ADAS and a radar in the front.

Damn. This one looks super cool!

Any info on what spec alloys are used? I know a lot of people searching for alloys for the ROXX.

Yes I got them installed. Will share photos in the evening once I get back from office.

To all the MX3 owners, has anyone got to install fog lamps? Originals or after market? Have you got them to work on auxiliary light switch present on the right indicator lever?

I have got the GTR projector fog lamps installed with power connections from parking light. The installer told that Mahindra has not left any power wires. We will have to get the wiring done from Mahindra and unlock the switch working through software from Mahindra.

Need your guidance on the same as I don't want to put any additional switch by cutting or drilling.

I doubt if this has anything to do with software enablement. The owner's manual clearly says the parking lights have to be switched on first before you can bring the fog lamps on via the dedicated button for it on the right stalk. Did you try that? A bit surprised that there are no wires or even termination points in the harness with which one can add an official accessory.

To add to this, anytime these modules are removed or refitted, they need to be calibrated back. This is an added hassle with the new age ADAS thingies. Without the calibration done units may not work.

The installation was done by a seller from whom I get generally this type of work done and the connections were done properly. He has asked me to come back and they will try fitting it in a different place, otherwise a refund hopefully.

Thank you so much, this will be of great help.

After some relief from the seller, this seems like another headache as even after changes in installation it might not work according to you. I hope at least after returning to complete stock setup except fog lamps, it works like before. Anything I should keep in mind with regard to extra wiring put in for fog lamps?

I talked to service manager also, he too said that the switch has to be enabled/unlocked through software and wiring has to be done. But they still have not received the spare part fog lamp and training ppt for the wiring of the same.

Yes, there are no wires or termination points in MX3. Right now what I have done is that I have got connection from parking light through a relay. In this case fog lamps get turned on when we switch on park lights even when auxiliary light switch is in off position .

This probably is true. In the accessories shop where I was getting my steering wheel wrapped, there was another guy who was struggling to get fog lamps installed in his 3X0.

When he contacted the service center he was told that his fog lamps needs to be unlocked and only then he can get his fog lamps installed properly. It must be same for Thar MX3. Mahindra quoted him 4000 for fog lamps installation.

It's better to wait. Hopefully fog lamps and the carplay update will come soon.

You will have to revert and check, hopefully it will start working again. If not just take to dealer and ask for a recalibration to be done.
