Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

What's wrong with and Aria with a yellow plate? Has the fact that Innova has a yellow plate stopped people from buying the car? One can see so many dzires with yellow plates as well.

Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

Have seen a Taxi registration on one Aria a month back, since that would be among the current variants it would imply someone providing the option of a high end taxi, but then we do get even the German models as a Taxi if one is prepared to pay for it.

This seems to be a good news for prospective TATA Aria owners which just caught my eye on Yahoo! India:

Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

The general conception was always that Aria was a tag overpriced. Now that the 4X2 variant has been launched priced at 11.42 ex showroom delhi, would be great to know the views of GTO and Rehaan on the pricing and its stand vis a vis the innova given that the pleasure 4X2 is priced at par with the innova top model.
For my untrained eyes this looks a good base price not too low to lose the premiumness of the model and not too over ambitious too. However would like to know the opinion of the experts.

Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

Have been trying to justify buying Aria to myself so went ahead with the test drive. All is fine but biggest let down is the 3rd row seating - even kids can't get in there. I dont know what the objective is - they could have done away with the 3rd row seat and competed with more nimble footed competitors, but once they got all the bulk, creating a much larger boot and making it impossible to sit in 3rd row for adults, and very difficult for kids defies logic. Otherwise it is a decent vehicle, and once some of them have spent couple of years on the road people's apprehensions about 'TATA' will also go away.

Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

Actually I find the high beams to also be insufficent on rainy nights and am exploring all option including auxilary lights. There are so many options and I wish to go for the one that can be done reliably with out wire cutting.

Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

Saw an Aria on the road yesterday (near Bund Garden - Pune) with a badge which read DuraTorq.
Has Ford done a tieup with Tata on the engine front.
Tried to take a pic but the clarity was horrible, shall try to post it when I get it downloaded.

Anyone else noticed the DuraTorq branding on any more Arias on here?

Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

^^^ you sure that you don't mean Adapterra?
Duratorq? could just be someone with a spare Ford Fiesta logo.

Positive that its not Adapterra

You may be right, someone could have fixed a DuraTorq logo underneath the main logo, but it would be an unusual thing to do.
