Here are some more pictures. The Hump on the hood was in MMY 43 as it had two solexes. This one though is just for show. Though the NE aircleaner is fitting snuggly just below that. Got my Ceat Safety Drives today. And also a pics of the Seats.

Lhd

@Behram/Cyrus: LHD seems to be coming up well. (Obviously it ought to be after all the hardwork put in by father and son.)
And especially, I am liking the seat design and colour very much.

Hello all - we brought the car home yesterday. The aluminium powder coated number plates in the original "kerala" size look good with "left hand drive" written below it. The front number plate made in a channel shape fitted perfectly on the bumper and it gives a unique look. It took me 2 hours to fit the grille as the access to fasteners is affected due to the concealed light mounting bracket. The car runs well. Lot of work is remaining. There is no wiring, I have just fitted a battery, shunted the alternator so it charges (it is old and does not work properly but it does some job, I am putting a new one in any case), connected the ignition switch and that's it. Electricals will take a lot of patience besides time. Some trim work is also remaining. Let's see how it goes.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

A few questions/suggestions/observations:

I know that the car is still incomplete but...

1) Will the car have the side trim (patti)?
2) The grille appears a bit uneven/bent in the pic.
3) I think the car would look better with some Fiat badging at the rear.
4) Eagerly waiting to see it with the Delite bumpers.
5) How about chequered mudflaps? This is a rally car, right?
6) The matte black hood is looking cool!
7) No K&N and NOS stickers on this car, please.
8) The car is looking good WITHOUT the wheelcaps.
9) You need a new camera.
10) How about a chrome exhaust tip?
11) How about a subtle looking racing tacho?????

1)-Have not put it yet!!
2)-Thats the best we can do
3)-No badging. Rust issues.
4)-We are sticking to padmini bumpers. That too took hours to put up
5)-Yuck
6)-Thanks
7)-Dad wants "some good stickers". No K&N or NOS though.
8)-Thanks
9)-I know
10)-In the pipeline
11)-Tell that to dad. I want it too!!

OT: You need to have a more steady hand, more than a better camera

Just my personal opinion here, the car dosen't look too good. It looks too dull, with the dark paintjob, matte black hood, and black wheels. Imho, there should be some contrast so that the car looks brighter. Now it looks like just another fiat on the road!
