PAVAN & Arun: Work has just restarted, Infact am going to take the second half of the day off to get to the garage and sift through the stuff that needs to get on to the car.

I was told that the car would be started this evening and would be running within the next 2 days. Am waiting for some stuff, like a copy of the manual for the wiring diagram and other stuff so we could have the car reassembled. Another team-BHPian has graciously accepted to help me with this.

Gentlemen, am very sorry that I have not taken any pictures as of now, since the only update has been on the mechanical front. The Electrician is starting to work on the car as we speak. I only hope he is the kind who would go through the wiring diagrams that "the mole" was gracious enough to give me.

Next would be the roof lining and floor mats work after which the windscreens would go in, the doors worked on once again. The paint would be given a once over before the fittings are done and then should be good to go.

Buddy first you will have to study the diagram well, then sit down with the electrician and get the job done. Thats the only way with classic cars the onus is equally on you, but hey I am sure you enjoy this! Let me knwo if you need any help.

Hi suren, The car is comming up nicely. What did you do to the hubcaps, they have come up really nicely, if i remember you had 3 Aluminum and 1 steel right? Please document your electrical work it will come in handy on the forum. Unluckily I was out of town when my electrical was being done and I could not take any pictures. make sure you use cloth to make a harness to give it that classic look.
BTW what colours are the interiors? The blue tinted glasses look smashing.

Dangerous in conjunction. But yes, it is indeed looking very nice and soothing, Suren.

Suren just wanted to to know whether the y side trim on the front fender is locally fabricated or not. Seems so to me, I may be wrong.

Thanks Amol, I had them buffed and yes Manish is right I had one in Aluminium and 3 in SS.

The electrical work was done when I was away at work but could manage one pic (phonecam) when I dropped in for a brief period.

Sadly cloth was not used and it was just the PVC sleeves and Binds that were used.

Interiors are yet to be worked on, since I would be exchanging the existing seat with ones that Stanher has (in Rexine) and then do them up. Am thinking of a dual tone in the shape as seen on Pg.no.27 of the manual. Colors, I would request all of you to give in your suggestions for the same.

The glasses are as they were in the car when purchased, glad you liked them.

Manish I have had the aluminium hubcap buffed since it had layers of Silver paint on it and it looks pretty nice now. Shall post a pic of the same soon.

The Y trim basically are as you said, handmade out of Aluminium, but available in a few spares shops. They were not made to order.

Suren, I hope you realize that the pattern you refer to came on Italian models, Indian cars had only two types of Rexine Dark brown/tan (like my car) and Dove Gray/Blue (like Ronnie's car).

The patterns you refer to came in Italian cars. I think you will find the patterns in detail on the MTP 8389 page. But black cars look damn good with both colours so you could go either way. Did you find the Grab bars that go above the passenger doors? Also make sure the top is a light grey rexine, like the original pattern.

I am attaching patterns for Sunvisor design.
