And suren, could you put up the rest of the pics. as well?? The ones showing the car fully?

Suren, Suren, what a paint job man - hats off to the guys working on your car, please do pass on my compliments. The pictures are hugely inspiring.
Btw, why may you not fit whitewalls ? Availability issues ? Can any of us help in this area ?

Shyam: This has been relayed to the Garage as they were doing up the wheels this morning. I shall post some proper pics after the wheels are painted and fitted on the car.

Thanks a ton Ravi for the compliments yaar.

Whitewalls are definitely on the shopping list as one of the last things to add to the car. Loads of other things need to be done at this stage onwards.

Karl, Am posting the pics of the hubcaps I was talking about for reference purposes.

Wow, Im jealous

Hyderabad has the country's most talented workforce when it comes to these cosmetic bits, so look for a good denter who will make that dented hubcap like new. Be patient, a 4th steel one will definitely turn up.

Wow, Suren! You sure were lucky! These look quite good; of course these pics. aren't too clear, but still I find them (even the alu. one) still in good nick, despite having come from Madras!
AnnEy, I can't wait to see your car all finished!!

the_mole: Sadly, have to report that I have nothing to update as such, it's more like status quo.

I picked up a set of white walls for our 1962 Fiat 1100 deluxe a few months ago. None were available in Calcutta Sanjay told me so I went to the MRF head office close to our home and they special ordered a set of 5 to bring in. waited 5 weeks and was well worth wait. cost installed was about r9,500.

Spot on John. My recent enquiry with a more reliable tyre shop gave a price of 1900 a piece, available ex-stock. Make a beeline guys, while they're still there !!
