Whoa!! What a mixture of cars...

My Guess, A Super Select with a Speciale Grille and an aftermarket sunroof. Also, i dont know if these trims came standard. But this seems to be a German car, so it might have all these trims as standard. But the Sunroof definately didnt come!!

That car was built under license from Fiat by NSU badged as a Neckar. This a DeLuxe version, with the double side trims, more ornate grille, original factory fitted sunroof and usually a split front seat as well. Attatched brochure for reference. A similar car Im told existed in Bombay till as late as 2000, then scrapped. I was skeptical at first, till I got a set of wheelcaps, badges and some other goodies from the car

Arrey I never confused you baba. You chose to confuse yourself with the Mercedes biofueled cars. Not my fault no?

Now I know how the cubans got the idea for 'customizing' their cars' bumpers :

Thanks Amit.. she looks Delicious ! Btw guys, she seems to have many trim bits not seen in Indian cars. For example, she has no roof trims, but has the trim under the windscreen. Quite interesting to see how specs changed across countries !

Tinwork..

Been off the radar for a few days. Here are pictures from last week. Tinwork / welding is still in progress, a bit slow as you may notice. Flooring, accelerator plates, and transmission tunnel done. Alignment / welding on LHS done, RHS in progress. Some parts of the car are still in a mess.. The main cross beams up front near the firewall need replacing.
Full front fenders are impossible to source, so cutting - welding is the only option.
Guys, I'm having a HUGE problem sourcing window trim (called "garnish patti") for the super select , ie quarter glass model. The ones for the select, ie without quarter glass can be made availiable, but the SS needs some kind of joinery, including a "box" under the quarter glass pillar. Will be doing a round of chor bazaar again, later this week.
