Well done Ravi, the car looks great, especially with that number plate. Wish you many years of happy motoring, and be prepared for all the eyeballs popping at the signals

I don't recall, do you have a sunshade fitted? They suit these models well.

It's a pleasure driving her on the roads, I've already received many compliments and thumbs ups !
Karl, the sun shade is ready, but has not yet been fitted for want of new brackets. Hopefully in the next 2 days.. Boy, your observation is really sharp guruji !

Kudos Ravi, I love the paint job.

Is the sun shade aluminum or a plastic one ?

WOW Ravi what a looker, I am definately going to hitch a ride with you to the FCCCI meet. I must say the paintjob looks very period in the pics. Our next FCCCI mumbai meet should be quite a bomb with all these awesome restored fiats parading the streets of Mumbai.

Superb, Superb! Ravi.

Cannot wait till Sunday to see your blue and white beauty MRX 6839 in person.
Already had first hand report from our youngest FIAT tuner Adheesh that the car is running beautifully and all mechanicals are performing very well.

FCCCI team will be proud to have one more FIAT in pristine condition within the club.

Ravi,
The restoration work that you did was indeed "SUPERB"

I took some time to reread your entire thread, what a Journey, and what a result! Congratulations to You and Team BHP for making this all possible and to have been ale to share this journey and hopefully inspire other to save and resurrect our forgotten and unloved oldies and goldies.

I would be interesting to start a thread to begin to identify the costs of such undertakings for general reference.

Our WBF-1 was in excellent condition to begin with and to-date we have spent about R75,000 on the restoration which I feel was about average. it still needs work on some of the mechanicals and while it is running ok, it is not a smooth and peppy as it should be. Seriously considering rebuilding or replacing the engine and will have to cross that bridge shortly.

You might consider changing your handle to SSS, "SuperSelectSuperb"

Again thanks for sharing your journey that now has just begun.
