We took measurements of the headlights, the fender design and came back a little knowledgeable.
Ram the steering looks transparent/translucent was it an original lucite steering that came as an option in Italy?

Nothing is original in this car except the unspoilt light wells. The car however looks classy due to the shape and the color it sports. To clear the air about what's not original

1. Steering
2. Yenkay PP meter with a clock
3. Piano switches as present in the PP 80's models
4. Floor shift
5. Dash board cut to accomodate a mini TV
6. No push pull knobs
7. Center light / Head lights
8. No external fuel cap
9. Donno about the engine
10. wheel rims

The black car is the millicento. All the cars that I seem to come across are far from originality

Progress on Shiva's Elegant

This sweltering afternoon was spent with Shiva to basically monitor the progress of his Elegant.
Phase II of the recovery of parts from Shiva's mechanic from old city took 2 hrs after the curfew lifted part of Hyderabad was choc-a-bloc.
Soon we reached the garage to see the beautiful elegant get its first coat of sky blue paint.I could see a glee on Shiva's eyes as he went round his Elegant savouring the fresh coat of paint.
Indeed it was treat to eyes,After carefully instructing the painter and mechanic the next phases of restoration,we retired to Taj Mahal Hotel for a nice bout of Masala Dosa and South Indian coffee.
An afternoon well spent with our passion for Fiats and Team BHP camaraderie.Few teaser pics of the Elegant on behalf of Shiva.

I have a tentaive date, but it depends on the completion of Suren and Shiva's Elegants.also the city is limping back to normalcy from curfews.
Devising a Plan B location,if we cannot do the launch at Charminar.

Shiva Good to see the progress taking place on the car, first coat of paint would also make the dents, bulges if any evident.

I could see a dimple at the left side front sheild (I have circled and drew an arrow pointing towards it) i guess it should be evened by little hammering or else when you have the beading fixed there would be a gap between the body and the beading/patti.
