Please accept my sincere good wishes.

As for memrobilia - I have a friend in Delhi who has made a small museum of old cars / bikes / collectables related to cars. If & when you come to Delhi do pm me - I will put you in touch with him.

The way I see it you will fall in love with his place.

All the best.

I always used to be so fascinated with these style of indicators, always wanted a pair. Here is a detail shot I took of one that I saw in Germany, 2005 at the Hessich Oldendorf show.

There is no Audi logo, only Hella and part numbers. At the show there were 400 pre 67 cars from the world over, even the States. This particular car is LHD though, and I think wears German plates.

But more importantly, at such a big VW show, you can be sure that every car there has some custom additions or the other.

ok,i may be wrong or the image looks like that on the screen, it must be a good feeling to see so many beauties together, i attended a similar show in 2010 and 2008 and was lucky enough to drive a 58 car for two days in the beautiful hills of black forest with the plate of my indian car"JKC" on it,vw lined up was a real feast for the eyes, here are some pics and dont miss the Hebmullers, another couple of them joined from Switzerland -hence had a CH plate, will appreciate if you too share some pics

Re: My 1961 Volkswagen Beetle, restoration project

I have seen enthusiasts but never seen a guy so carried away, fascinated with one particular brand. People find it to be a herculean task to manage work life balance but here one setting a beautiful example of what could be done for passion. Going places to see the similar cars, experiencing them, getting to learn, know, understand putting efforts to achieve what he always desired, it's so inspiring, amazing. You are great Inderpal sir, you are one of my inspiration. Thanks for sharing your experiences which is indeed valuable.

Thanks
Tuffryder, although the progress is slow, but its continuous, as i spend very less time in my garage i.e after my work and during my lunch time, but daily, as iam falling in love with this place, wish the winters come soon, and i can spend much more time here with friends. So yesterday some more light came in ,as i replaced two cracked asbestos sheets with the new clear-fibre sheets ,that allow a good amount of light,so now practically i need no bulbs or electric lights in the day time(it was almost dark before !),so some more goodies added to the pillars,i had 3 hub caps spare ,as a very good friend 67 Bug here helped me to source a set of 4 hub caps for my Toyota corona,i used one and 3 were lying spare, they will now add to the image of the garage-here are two pics to share with you all
