Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Slowed down for Verna as a courtesy as he had ensured that proper distance is maintained before switching lanes(even though he did not use indicators) but the Venue driver forgot use his indicators, forgot to check his mirror(I guess) and refused to react to my honking.

I guess he must have checked with an astrologer before leaving home. He would have got better advice from that mini-truck driver, who seemed to want to teach him a much-needed lesson.

Such drivers are the worst and the most frustrating creatures on the road. If you want to change lanes at least check the device mounted on 2 sides on the outside of your car and switch lanes after indicating. People should be challaned for such driving only then they will learn to use the 2 devices present in their cars.

Faced the same left side overtaking last week. I was supposed to turn left on a square and had indicated well in advance and was checking for vehicles in front since it's a busy junction and there was a vehicle in front. Out of nowhere this idiot on Activa somehow squeezes from left and when I am taking the left honks loudly as if I am at fault.

This turning near my place is a dangerous one, if one is a little careless, and especially when you have chaps like this biker, who stand in the turning area, and the one has to go into the right side, into the oncoming traffic. Close call. Afterwards while watching the video, I observed that chap sort of waving his hand slightly, what ever the reason, or may have been a nervous tick and another thing no blowing the toot to help. I normally do for the attention of the bikers who are a law unto themselves.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Over the years the driving etiquettes in Delhi NCR has gone for a toss. Nowadays it is commonplace to drive on the wrong side of the road, use loud horns and flash high beams to intimidate the drivers, try to squeeze between lanes etc. There is hardly anyone who is driving in a straight line, following the lane markings.

Anyone obeying the speed limits and observing lane discipline is honked at and is almost hit by those behind or trying to overtake. There is no regard for one's own life. People are willing to put their life on the line in their quest to get ahead.

All sorts of road traffic share space on a public road. From the quintessential pedal rickshaw, to the tempo carrier, to a 150 BHP+ Toyota Fortuner. Tempers run high, ugly glances and looks are aplenty.

The joy of driving on the Delhi roads is long gone. These days I dread at the very thought of taking my car out.

It's his way of sign that, you have enough space to move and he is not a disturbance. You hurt his ego.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Not sure if this is an idiot who can't follow the most basic of road rules or another poor creta owner whose brakes won't work

Ignored the red signal and a motorcycle idiot follows him.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Our politicians (or atleast their drivers) do believe they are superior to the public. That is the minister of our constituency, followed by the patrol Innova crysta, bullying their way.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

No habit of indicating before changing direction

Worse, no habit of checking the ORVM.

He turns on the indicator only after I madly honked.

A private vehicle using ambulance siren and avoiding toll. The vehicle belongs to a vlogger named E Bull Jet.
