We did Bangalore to Pench via Nagpur on 7/8 April. Roads all the way through are good except for some road work in progress between Hyderabad & Nagpur. Roads deteriorate significantly after entering Maharastra from Telangana. This patch was bad even when we travelled in December 2022 so I assume this remains perpetually bad. I tweeted to Morth & NHAI and as expected didn't receive any response.

On the first day, we went from our home to the hotel in Hyderabad, a distance of about 580 km, in total travel time of 8 hours with an approx average speed of 73 kmph. It's quite good considering the amount of traffic between Bangalore and Hyderabad. On the second day, we covered ~610 km from Hyderabad to Pench in 10.5 hours of travel time with an average speed of ~60 kmph. The traffic is less on this section but the speed is reduced due to patches of bad roads in MH plus the diversions due to road repairs.
So the overall time from Bangalore-Nagpur should be around 17 hours of driving time with 10% variation based on the driving style.

Nice roads in Telangana near Adilabad. Less traffic is a boon.

Did the same route in Apr 2023, and the roads after entering MH were in the exact same condition - uneven, bumpy and innumerable bad patches.

Planning a BLR-NGP trip in July. Any recommendations for a mid priced hotel on the Hyderabad ORR?

Just did BLR to Nagpur and Drive time was about 14hrs and took breaks for Breakfast, Lunch, Fuel, Dinner totalling to 4.5 hrs. started BLR south at 530am and reached north Nagpur at midnight. Some notable points
1. BLR to Hyd ORR road is good with some irritating speedbrakers around anantpur and 2-3 diversion which are not kept well.
2. ORR exit to Adilabad is in great shape, flyover construction in Medchal is a pain to cross but post that its very smooth. one thing to note is that the toll booths are very badly maintained and passing thru them was always a pain with frequent back and forth to detect the tag
3. Adilabad to Jamb had an ok surface anda good set of potholes for about 5-10kms. Good news is that its getting repaired. toll booths are again heavy and very badly maintained. Maybe i was driving XUV700 so didnt feel much
4. Jamb to nagpur is all fine
5. Fuel is cheaper in MH and KA, you can tank up in BP COCO chikballapur and then in pandharkawda MH.

Planning a trip from Bangalore to Raigarh (CG) in April 1st week. Planning for a 2 day trip. Bangalore to Nagpur and then Nagpur to Raigarh.

Anyone has recently done Bangalore to Nagpur stretch? What is the realistic time I am looking at based on roads and minimal stops (Breakfast, Bathrooms, Lunch, Fuel)

Google shows anything from 14 Hrs to 23 Hrs.

Hello Everyone

I am planning to travel from Nagpur to Mysuru on 6th of this Month. I will be travelling with my family and considering halt at or around Karnool.

Will start from Karnool the next day and reach Mysuru by Evening. I have travelled till Bengaluru before for a couple of times and am versed with road conditions till Bengaluru and so also with the Traffic

I need help regarding accomodation at Karnool as well as the best route to Mysuru thereafter which can help me avoid Bengaluru traffic.

While exploring maps I could figure out a new route via Satellite Town Ring Road (Before Devanahalli) - Doddaballapura - Nelamangala -Bellur Cross - Mysuru ...
Need your valuable suggestions on this route as well as the road conditions (as I will be travelling in a GT)

I was there for Aero-India.
On my way back, I did reach Nagpur in about 14 Hrs. I had started from North Bangalore at around 5:00 AM to avoid congestion.
The stretch till Hyderabad is super smooth. After ORR, at Medchal, Fly-Over construction is on and that stretch of about 5-6 Kms consumes a fair bit of time.
The road till Adilabad is excellent again, with relatively lesser traffic.

A stretch (of about 120 odd kms) after Adilabad till Jamb (60 Kms from Nagpur) has lot of sudden humps and a few potholes (some potholes are in fact craters) , the carpeting work was in progress but it was more of a patch work .
It would be good if you can start early and leave the last 100 kms to be covered with your headlights on.
Make sure that you have your lunch around Hyderabad only as there are no good restaurants after Hyderabad, particularly, if you have ladies on board.

Did the route this Saturday. Looks like they have freshly paved the roads between Adilabad and Nagpur, its smooth now, road markings are still missing though. Just a couple of diversions, other than that its all good.

Finished the route in 18 Hours, including about 2 hours of breaks (lunch, breakfast, bathrooms, fuel)

+1 to that - the notorious Pimpalkhuti (TG-MH border) - Hinganghat stretch has been freshly relaid - was a pleasant surprise to me, although lane markings are yet to be done.
