Will appreciate if anyone can help point latest travel guidelines regarding RTPCR tests.. We are 4 adults (fully vaccinated) and 1 kid who is 7 year old.

It isn't clear if we still need RTPCR tests reports.
Please let us know the experience and travel guidelines.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

We travelled to Bangalore from Mumbai on Sunday 12th December. Entered Karnataka via Nipani. We were stopped at the check-post and were asked to show the negative RT-PCR report, which we promptly did. The person checking the report took a cursory glance and let us proceed. All of this took less than a minute.

Funny enough, they were letting two wheelers cross into KA without any check - seems they were locals who ferry between KA and MH or vice-versa for work.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Is RT-PCR report needed for flights into Bangalore from Kochi? There is nothing needed when coming by car/train/bus.

The BIAL website still lists some circular dated Sep 1st for arrivals from Kerala insisting on RT-PCT report and a 7 day home quarantine Looks like the virus travels only by air these days.

The officials are super excited to put in stupid regulations but so reluctant to remove them.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Yes. It is needed. Folks from Kerala and Maharashtra will be allowed to go only after showing negative RTPCR reports. This was the case when I travelled 3 weeks back.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

KA - AP border at Nangli:

When entering AP, there is a check-post where they check the vehicle including boot. So far no one has asked for RT-PCR reports.

When entering KA, never encountered any checks till date.

Re: All Roads to Kerala

I flew from BLR into TVM last saturday. Leave alone RT-PCR, nobody even asked me if I was vaccinated or not, anywhere.

That was definitely a fluke (sorry, couldn't resist)

Jokes apart, what I heard is, there is strict screening of passengers inbound from KL & MH for RT- PCR -ve report.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Is -ve RT-PCR required for returning from MH for a 1-2 day trip? The below news that KA has exempted folks traveling to MH for 1-2 days from carrying a -ve RTPCR when returning was doing the rounds a couple of weeks back.

https://www.hindustantimes.com/citie...720454287.html

Is it being followed? Are returnees by flight from MH (Nagpur specifically) being checked for RTPCR?

Aneesh, He flew INTO KERALA and not the other way. You probably read it the other way around?
As far I have seen, there is no checking across any means of transport for entry into Kerala.

Apologies fluke for the comment. I misread it as landing at Blr from TVM.

Thank you sandsun7 for pointing out.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

We are planning a WB-Sikkim trip. Any need for RT-PCR on WB or Sikkim borders?

Me and my wife are vaccinated but daughter isn't as she is just 10. Don't want to get stuck and may just cancel the whole trip if that's the case. Will be starting from Bhubaneswar on 17th Dec 2021.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Traveling to Mumbai tomorrow from Bangalore and will be crossing KA MH border on Saturday. We are 4 adults and one 11 years child. Of course 4 adults are fully vaccinated and will get RTPCR done for my daughter today. I hope that is enough for us to cross into MH.
If there are any changes in the border crossing rules, please update here.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Is a RT-PCR report necessary to enter Pondycherry from Karnataka?
As per google search, nothing is necessary.
I have an upcoming trip to Pondy in a weeks time.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

I, along with my Wife and 10 year old Daughter, will be travelling by Air next week from Pune to Bagdogra with a layover at Delhi. Me and my Wife are both Fully Vaccinated and i will be getting a RT-PCR Test done for my Daughter a day before we travel. However, I am a bit confused regarding the latest air travel regulations into West Bengal / Bagdogra. Attaching 2 snippets from the Indigo Website and a News Channel Article dated Dec. 07.
Can someone please clarify if both me and my Wife also need to get a RT-PCR Test done, to be on the safe side, since we will be travelling from Pune in Maharashtra, which has more Omicron Cases, as per my knowledge. Thanks in advance.
