Point noted sir.

Will be careful next time. Thank you for the advice.

I too have a 2014 Nano Twist XT, have taken multiple long drives for ~400km. The mileage i get is usually upwards of 23kmpl at these speeds. Not sure why the mileage was a little low. And BTW how did you keep the toddler occupied?
This was my second drive to Bangalore and I've driven it multiple times to Ramagundam from Hyd.

I was doing 80 for the most stretch and slowed down a little during rain. Also the fact that we were three people with some luggage as well which usually affects the mileage I'm getting with the car.

The toddler was kept busy with sight seeing which he enjoyed and when he got bored, he got to play with some of his favourite toys on the back seat. We had also downloaded his favourite rhymes on the YouTube app and we enjoyed singing them together.

Though I enjoyed driving it all through, was a bit skeptical in taking her over 85KMPH because of its puny tires and vague steering.
How long did you take to cover that distance sir?

Re: Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries

Did B'lore - Hyd - B'lore last weekend. Enjoyed the drive on one of the Best highways in our country!
Only issue is very few quality food joints on the way!
The saving grace is Kamat Upachar (Chikballapur) and Food Pyramid (127 kms from Hyd).
Another downer, only one Toll booth accepted FasTag, others are not yet operational :(

Re: Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries

Planning a trip to Hyderabad ( from Bangalore ) over the Diwali weekend. Planning for a 4-day trip and will be a drive. Considering that, can someone recommend a good itinerary including places to stay ( around 3K a night ).

There are more options now.
1. Blue Moon Highway Restaurant (Midthur)
2. A1 Food Plaza (Midthur)
2. Bharathi 97 Food N Fuel (Pothulamadugu)

All on the left side from BLR-HYD.

I think "Food Pyramid" on left hand side, about 440Km from Bangalore will be ideal for your lunch stop. Newish place, food is decent and very clean rest rooms and the place has lots of covered parking space.

Other options (closer to Gooty):
-Blue Moon (250-255Km from Bangalore) before the Gooty/Kasepalli Toll on left side

-Within a distance of 2-3Km from Blue Moon there are other options like an A1 Plaza on left inside a Reliance bunk campus and Ravi Theja on right side

-Or you can get into Kurnool town. Hotel Suraj Grand is just beside the highway on right hand side but you need to get to service road and go below the flyover

You can see my earlier post for more details on other places (but will be too far from Bangalore, just before or nearer to Jadcherla) - here (Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries)

Re: Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries

Update

The highway is flawless.

Speed breakers Hyderabad to Banglore direction

Pennar river after crossing Goothy town
Anathapur Bypass
Amavarepalle about 12kms before Penukonda bypass
Bagepalli Bypass
Chikaballapur bypass where the road joins from Banglore side.

Fast tags fully operational throughout all the tolls

Fantastic and crisp reporting.
Extremely useful update.
How much is the toll now, not including ORR and Devanahalli-Airport ones (between Nandi Hills and Shamshabad).

Thanks. This helps. Will carry loose change accordingly as a backup since FasTag should work at all tolls

No issues at all except the Raikal toll plaza all other tolls have separate lane
for Fast tag.

It is manned by a guy sitting next to the closed section of fast tag .

Only at Goothy toll had to reverse back and drive at a slow pace in the same lane for the tag detection.

Did Hyderabad - Bangalore yesterday.
All tolls were paid through FasTag.
Did not help me save time but was convenient.
None of the tolls have yet been debited to my FasTag account as yet.
The most smooth passage at a toll was at the one just before Kurnool. The experience was exactly as prescribed by Mr. Gadkari on the NHAI website.
