Taz did you do all this on same day ? i mean returned same night ?

Cool timing.. yes for those who wish to go to Mangalore this is the best available route now

No Raj, left on Sunday the 25th at 2:00 AM in the morning and return trip was on Monday the 26th at 11:25 PM in the night.

Hi Team,

Travelled to Mangalore last weekend on KSRTC Rajahamsa bus. All KSRTC buses now travel through Mysore-Madikeri route. While booking the ticket, eventhough the route suggests via Hassan, all buses take the Madikeri route. Looks like the Shiradi Ghat route is exclusively for the mining lorries

The bus left Bangalore at 9.45pm and reached Mangalore bus stand at 6.45am. On the return journey, the bus left Mangalore at 10.30pm and reached Bangalore at 9.30am (the driver was in no hurry at all

Prabhu some buses are using Charmadi route, esp in the morning.

I think shiradi can be a good venue for a offraod meet

Yeah.All KSRTC buses take the Mysore-Madikeri route. Nice comment about the Shiradi Ghat

And i guess they are mining by digging the leftovers of the road itself

Great to hear that Madikeri-Sullia stretch is now relaid. When I travelled in October last year, this stretch was in bad condition.

Is the Bengaluru-Mysore-Madikeri route still good
or do I need to change routes ?

I heard Charmadi's gonna be "closed from Monday till 31st March for repairs, DC order on 9th of March" on the Bikenomads group!

Oh! i.e bad, i had plans of travelling through charmadi this monday. Has it appeared in any newspapers/news portals ?

Sign up is not enough to gain access to the info, i have to be part of the group. Anyways, now need to think of alternatives. As i had to head towards belthangady, charmadi was the right option. Madikeri is circuituous routing.
