How much do you pay for your broadband?

Our broadband plan costs around 850. Unlimited download. And sometimes it streams 720p videos uninterruptedly.

Shifted from Tata indicom to B B N L. 10 MBPS and no cap. Have been getting steady download speed of 850-900kbps.

Pretty happy as of now

Spectranet currently offers only in two places, Hiranandhani OMR and somewhere in Mogappair. Heard it is good from someone i know from Hiranandhani. I pay 1100 for an MTS connection with a FUP of 12GB

. Nothing else is available.

Anyone using hathway broadband in bangalore? How is the speed and uptime ?

I am planning to get rid of BSNL which is slow and also irregular.

Well, Im using Reliance broadband, 1 Mbps unlimited for Rs 549 pm.

So listing out the ISP's I contacted for broadband. I stay in Vijaynagar, Bangalore

ACT-No service where i stay yet
Airtel- Still to get back to me
Hathway-No service where i stay yet
Spectranet-No service where i stay yet
Tikona-Not sure of their speeds and service. Plans don't look so good,so less incentive to make the jump
Beam Fiber-No service where i stay yet
Hathway-Still to get back to me

The only other ISP's left are BBNL,reliance(which doesn't have good plans) and docomo.

What is the monthly tariff ?

Use Vovinet , 35 Mbps @ Rs 2021/month for 35GB. Speed is reduced to 10 Mbps after FDU is exceeded.

BBNL charges Rs. 1123 including taxes for their Unlimited 10 Mbps plan.

It depends on area. I am paying 1125/month for 10 mbps unlimited where in a friend of mine is paying 750 for the same tariff.
I haven't faced any downtime as such. Worth the money.

Thank you guys. I hope they've connectivity in my area, the plans look good. Also, when you do a speedtest, do you get close to 10mbps ?

I have limited usage and I use prepaid 3G broadband from BSNL.

I use around 2 GB per month and I pay Rs 250/- for it . I recharge online from the BSNL portal whenever needed.

₹ 1299/- for a 8 MB/s limited to 15GB and hence forth it become a 256 kbps or 512 kbps unlimited. I also get 1000 units of local calls.

Anyone in Bangalore heard of Air Wave Solutions or tried their broadband offering? They left a brochure in my apartment complex recently. I thought I'd give them a try. They are offering various plans but I chose the 15 Mbps/50GB plan for 1,399/- inclusive of all taxes. Lets see how it goes.

Hi,

It all depends on where you stay in Chennai. For the last two months, ACT has started provided connections in South Chennai. I live in Adyar and using ACT Basic Plan (15 Mbps/40 GB) for the last one month and regularly I get around 17-19 Mbps. Till date there is no disruption in service. Cost / month is around Rs.1120. If you need any info, let me know.
