You are getting the HPI Trophy Buggy? , not worth that Price , you can try these:

FYI the HPI Trophy is an OE Hotbodies buggy which in turn is made by Sacker , the Sacker buggy you can get in Singapore for 300SGD RTR.

[LOSB0081] Team Losi 8ight 1/8 4WD Buggy RTR with TL427 & Spektrum DX2

[CEG9551] CEN Racing Matrix C-1 RTR 1/8th Off Road Buggy

I have both the 8ight B and 8ight T Kits so i am partial to the 8ight.

I think I guessed right on petrol and buggy. Is the brushless, Savage or Firestorm Flux?

@Mura - Thanks for the advice.Since HPI is officially available in India with warranty I decided to go for the Trophy 3.5. Dont want to buy the Cen, and dont want to go thru the hassle of ordering team losi online. Since the trophy is available for about 20k officially i thought it would be the safest choice.

@Ajo: Getting the Baja 5T (white), the Savage Flux and the trophy 3.5

I know a lot of guys who have HPI official cars on order (about 30 or so), so once we get delivery we can have a major meet in mumbai.

Awesome ride kapil. Can we have pics without the body. Any videos of this beast in motion?

If i had a choice of RS4s i would pick the camaro ss kit. Here is a pic.

Hey bro. WIll get some off body pics for you in a day. However the videos is where I need time. I actually need a cameraman.

Plus, I'll try and get my concrete driveway washed so that I can enjoy this mustang. Will keep you posted. And I have just managed to attain a Lamborghini countach body for it. Waiting for it to arrive through a friend of mine from Thailand. With broader rear tyres, that will look WOW. The same kind in the camaro above.

Kapil, is there an electric or nitro rally version of this car with higher clearance? I heard reference to a rally EVO, but unable to get any details.

Once I am more conversant with my current one atleast 6-8 months later, I like to look at a car, preferably electric. I want it to run a little offroad as well and I love WRC and specifically Subaru Impreza. I am impressed with the looks and reviews of the Kyosho Inferno GT Impreza. If I dont get a good electric, I will get the Inferno. Depends on the experience with my current nitro.

Mura, I got the OS A3 plug from Rotor and the truck much runs better now. Thanks for the suggestion. Another 2 tanks and I will be done with break-in.

Well, let me not keep the suspense. It was gifted to me. So I don't think I would like to share any price details.

Hey Ajo. I hope you got your truck sorted out. Well, yes there is a rally version and in electric or nitro to choose from too. I shall share that info with you personally. As for choosing the subaru, well its just a body shell. With the right tyre setup and suspension, you can gain the ground clearence you require.

Thats interesting. Will getting a rally type tyre and increasing clearance be enough?

Check this Tamiya, based on their own buggy chassis DF-03RA. Meanest electric rally I have read about. Sadly it currently comes only in kit version. I dont have the basic expertise to assembly it. Time is also another issue.

Another option is to get a Tamiya TT-01 (another popular onroad one) and use the method you suggested.

Get the Tamiya, i will build it for you.

You cannot beat Tamiya for the most realistic Kits/Bodies. HPI bodies look like toys in Comparision.
