I expected this movie to be decent. Just wanted to see how a Bollywood director would direct this plot. Anyways thanks for the review.

A very different movie. Though not all may agree with the message the movie has given,
An intense movie, will keep you on the edge of seat. Must watch. I won't say anything about the movie otherwise suspense will be lost!

what can i say about this movie, it just reminded me of my growing up days in school & college where my day used to start with Zep, CCR, AC/DC & Metallica. Just gave me a rush of blood seeing things that every kid growing up wants to do some day. This movie was not just about music, it was about fulfilling your dreams, your passion. You may earn a lot of money in life but you will get your ultimate satisfaction when you get a chance to do what you always wanted to do... you may fail at it, you may lose, hell who cares, atleast i can say i did what i wanted to! The surprise packet of the movie is Purab Kohli, who's effortless in his role, not to forget the girl who plays Arjun Rampal's wife who was also very competent. We need more actors like him rather than 'stars'. No one in the movie can say that his role was shortchanged, every character was given their shining moment. I wont give a rating for this movie as i'm not a critic, all i want to say is that if you identify with what i've written, you'll go watch the movie.

P.S. I want the DVD to be kept with my Original Box Collection Godfather, Scarface & DCH DVD's, Treasured.

Saw this movie yesterday at Fun Cinema, Sigma Mall.
Fantastic....
It was a very well edited & the dialog timing was superb. Every character is given its due & every one suited to their roles.
Its not an easy story to be made into a film & credit should go to the producers to choose this story.
A must watch movie.
Each person would surely relate himself /herself with either of the characters.
Really glad that such kind of stories are being ventured unlike most of the predictable and masala movies.
Farhan Akhtar's singing talent has to be appreciated.Cannot deny his acting skills too.
Very much admired Purab's humorous role.
Though most of the movies is kind of serious, didn' t feel like missing any part at any instance.
Arjun Rampal's acting is best in this.
Luke Kenny- Never had an idea that he was such a good actor.

As Tanveer mentioned, it reeks of the DCH hangover, but nowhere near the classic that is DCH.

While the movie as a whole is quite good, I found the music quite wanting, especially since this was centered around a rock band. While i am no hardcore rock fan, i do listen to them at times. As for the songs from the movie, other than the chorus which goes Na-Na.. none of the other songs quite make the mark on my scale.

* Farhan makes an impressive debut, but tries a wee bit too much to be the star of the movie.
* Arjun Rampal had an amazing role. With his long haired look, he certainly looks the part, and his acting has definitely matured.
* Purab does what he does best, with the ease of a pro. Excellent choice, i would say. His song and dance jig at the Channel V show, is a highlight.
* Luke had a more subdued role amongst the others, and didnt impress me so much.
* Shahana, who plays AR's wife was impressive and certainly deserves an award in a supporting role.
* Prachi Desai is a welcome newcomer, and did a reasonable job as well.

So, question now being, will this be added to my collection of fav movies? I guess not. Had the music been better, probably.

Worth a watch, though.

The September 5th released Saroja (Tamil) is a super duper entertainer.
Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is one of the best of 2008.
Movie is directed by the 'Chennai -28' fame Venkat Prabhu and most of the actors from the earlier movie are present in the movie.
Watched the movie on the day of the release and can't wait to watch it again. So, its definitely worth a watch. Be ready to laugh out loud at gripping moments in the movie.

2 of India's finest actors - (Anupam Kher plays the police commissioner and Naseeruddin Shah the caller) - are in simply SUPERB form. And it's an absolute treat to watch both of them. Even the support cast is in fine form - Jimmy Shergill and Aamir bashir as the upright cops are very good. The only sore point is Deepal Shaw as the TV reporter.

The movie delivers a message and does it very nicely as well.

Verdict - 4/5. Do not miss this.

ps - This is the 3rd movie by UTV that has impressed me. Aamir, Mumbai Meri Jaan and now this. Way to go UTV.

It's nothing like Die Hard. Watched it last night, fantastic movie! Short & to the point, no dancing around tress either. Full agree with NC's analysis on this one!

Watched Bourne Supremacy last night. I never cease to get amazed at the fast pace of action in this movie. I liked this better than the Identity. Both the movies are collectors item.

I read all three books as well and i am somehow more baised towards books than movies. Awesome narration by Ludlum.

Has "Bourne Ultimatum" come out? I am not aware about it.
