That's true but since march Netflix was streaming 4k in 7.5 mbps speed( which usually is 15.4 mbps) and HD in 2.5 mbps speed ( earlier 7.5 mbps).
However, since last couple of days they aren't streaming 4k at all and HD is streaming at 1.8 mbps speed. That's why I was curious if something similar is happening with others too.

Thank you all for these suggestions!

I love 'Modern Family'! 'The Big Bang Theory' kept me hooked for some time (mainly because of the stunning Ms.Cuoco!) but got boring after a few seasons. You're right, 'Two and a Half Men' was good as long as Charlie Sheen was around, dropped after that.

The other suggestions are all new shows to me, will definitely try them out, especially 'Parks and Rec.' and 'Always Sunny', heard about them, but never watched. Thanks guys!

If you liked The Office (US version) would suggest Space Force on netflix. Also check if you can get your hands on Cheers, Everybody loves Raymond and Frazier. These are my all time favorites. My second rung of recommendations would be The Middle, Last man standing and Man with a plan.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

After completing Money Heist on Netflix was looking for the next show to watch.
Happened to stumble upon Penny Dreadful: City of Angles on Hotstar.
A supernatural thriller/detective show which is setup in 1938 Los Angles.
I have not watched the other Penny Dreadful shows, so this i new to me.
Would really recommend it if you are into the spooky shows.

Just finished watching The Final Call on Zee5. An edge of the seat thriller i must say. It's a story about a pilot who plans to commit suicide while piloting a flight. But things go otherwise. Would rate it 4/5.

Some from my side

1. The Middle. Available on Prime. Light hearted comedy about a typical American family in the MIDDLE of the US

2. Scrubs. Also on Prime. Its about a medical intern and the everyday grind in a hospital

3. Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. Though not exactly family friendly. But good enough for mature audiences. Drew Barrymore and Timothy Oliphant are your typical run of the mill couple. Or are they?

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Of late, I watched three non-english shows in Netflix (Fauda, Dark and The spy) and I am currently watching The Kingdom.

I felt the best of the lot is Fauda. Simply superb.
Closely followed by Dark.
The spy is good as well based on a true story, but weakest of the three.

I have only watched 2 episodes of The Kingdom and so far looks decent.

Watched three mini series on Hotstar.
1. C B Strike - detective show, based in London, good watch.
2. The Outsider - paranormal activity and how the cops come to terms with it
3. City of Angels - period cop drama of race from the late 1930s. This has paranormal content too and is an ongoing series with a new episode every week.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Don't know if Choked (on Netflix) can be mentioned here, but it is a TV show (if not a series). Though, I did watch it and it was good in parts, not sure how to rate this! The performances were good, nicely edited, background score was fine...yet the script could have been a bit more than just throwing barbs at the current Govt. It's intention is to deal a 'body blow' to the whole demonetizing exercise, and they have woven a story around it. But, it ends up being neither here, nor there. So, I'd rate it 3/5. Expected more from Anurag Kashyap.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned in this thread before that I know of, but yesterday Netflix dropped the fifth season of Queer Eye. It's genuinely one of the most feel good and easy to watch shows. Get past any initial reservations you might have and you'll soon find yourself totally sold on the charm of the Fab Five. So that's my wholesome contribution

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Binge-watched all seasons of Breaking Bad on Netflix. Was totally worth it! It lives up to all the hype it has generated. It is a straightforward story but the way it has been dealt with is amazing, especially the attention to detail. Things really start getting engrossing from Season 3 onwards.

Fast paced storyline with twists & turns is what you want, then Fauda falls in that category. I enjoyed it the most among all the shows that I've watched.

Isn't this a one-off movie which was concluded?

Yeh Meri Family on Netflix. 4/5

If you were a kid growing up in the 90s you are going to relate to this a lot. Lots of nostalgia moments for kids of that era.

The first episode was so so but it picks up quickly after. Sweet and simple 7 episodes series

Try "Bard of Blood" at Netflix. Family Man from Prime and Special Ops from Hotstar were the answers of Netflix's Bard of Blood. I liked the book. However, IMO, the casting was bad and that makes it an average watch.
