SOOOOOOO - we are preparing for the final!!! LOL

And as promised, I wanted to show you how things are here in Germany at the moment. Lets give you some impressions on the last match and my girl's soccer night out lol.

We reach the place called Theresienwiese where they show the soccer match a little early. Nevertheless, it is quite full already. Due to our one friend who is a bit small by German standards - he he - we decide to stay in the back of the location so she will be able to see the screen as well.

And then it starts, drums are playing, music on and after the Turkish finished their part, the Germans call for their players. See and hear for yourself (files only available for a limited time, sorry):

Then they are there, and of course it is time for the national anthem!

Then the game starts! It is exciting, the atmosphere is rocking. It feels like the air is vibrating (oh, or was this due to the TV and police helicopters in the air lol?), people are cheerful, singing, crying, shouting - you feel like one big group of friends!

Eh sorry, but of course you will only see a part of the German section on the videos lol. The "red crowd" was to our left, but just as loud!

... To be continued

It turns out that the first part of the game is difficult. Not much happening, the Germans are having their problems and it comes as it must come, the Turkish score. Oh no!!!!

The "red sea" next to us, on our left, is going crazy. The "black-red-gold sea" of this event goes quiet! With this first goal policemen come from behind, you never know, just in case they make themselves visible. But all is fine, the match goes on.

And YEAH TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR for the Germans, by Schweinsteiger:

Lalalalala - here we go, go on Germany! Happy faces:

This match is starting to get exciting. But only for a couple of minutes as then nothing is happening anymore for quite some while. During the break you can feel the atmosphere is tense. We want to see some results here, so go on Germany!

The second half starts, it goes on as before. Then suddenly TOOOOOOOOOOOR by Klose!!!! Super super super. Unbelievable! We are all happy, the crowd is carried away.

A few minutes later, oh no TOR for the Turkish, damned. We were almost there. Time is running, we are all tense. The 90th minute has begun, then - 30 seconds before the end - TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR by Lahm. Jesus, this is crazy, we are yelling, singing, dancing, hugging. Not over though yet, of course they extend the match by a couple of minutes. But then, then it is over. Germany is in the final!!!!!!!

I didn't make it to do any videos during or right after the two following goals (too carried away to even think about it lol) but though it was dark we made some afterwards. It was a fantastic time! See for yourself:

The second video was shot when we were leaving the place in the middle of the crowd:

And this final video will leave you with a good impression of how the nights in Germany look like at the moment. Please note this was right after the match, not the full show yet. People were just leaving their houses, coming from different places like ours or restaurants, bars etc. to join the big "auto corso". It is traditional and it goes on for almost the entire night. And it is crazy.

So, I hope you enjoyed!!!! Lets see what will happen on Sunday then.
Of course, I will keep my fingers crossed for GERMANY!!!

I voted for Spain as they have a wonderful young squad rooting for their first major championship in years. Germany, my favorite football team of many years, is taking the backseat this time. :(

PS: Did anyone miss Raul & Company from Real Madrid. I certainly didn't. Iker is playing well as captain, I see.

Thanks Jenny for sharing those videos!

We could get some glimpse how you all really enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of watching the match live with all those crazy people around, screaming and yelling!

If this was the scene after winning the SF, what it will be if Germany wins the Cup tomorrow?

I don't think that Spain has a chance in the euro 2008 because it has not been in the picture for the last 40 years.

It's key players are more or less limited to David Villa who won't be there because of his injury against Russia, Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas.

Whereas Germany has Lukas Podolski,Michael Ballack,Bastian Schweinsteiger (who has scored in his last two matches) and Lens Lehman.

So, its Germany all the way for me

There seems to be a vested interest in your prediction.
