But I totally agree with you that Unforgivable was definitely a better watch than Meenakshi Sundareshwar!!!
That is true indeed! For the life of me, i cannot believe how people could enjoy that movie. It plays to the stereotypes and not to forget the lead roles who could not be any more ignorant about life.

Sorry for continuing OT. I found even Annathe better than Meenakshi Sundareswar. Gosh, did I waste time watching it. There are movies where you feel dumber because you watched it and this one tops the list

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Saw Spider-Man: No Way Home yesterday. Definitely a great Spidey movie to watch in the theatres. Much cannot be spoken without revealing spoilers, so I am going to be silent on that. But it is a well known secret by now I guess. The movie picks up right after the previous installment 'Far from home'. Tom Holland is great in this role and definitely brings his best game to this one. For fans of Spiderman and all the movies that has come out with this character since the last two decades, this will surely be a treat ! This crossover movie will definitely invoke nostalgia at certain points. Also forgot to mention that Doctor Strange has decent screen time in this one & do wait for the post credits, as they have some Easter eggs there too. I guess No way home in a way ties up the trilogy and if Tom Holland returns for another sequel, that should be a whole different arc.

Dude, I feel your pain!

An idiot on FB posted a snap from the theatre of what could be the most epic sequence in the movie and claims it is an 'open secret'.

Please avoid opening FB and googling about the movie until you watch it.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Went for Spiderman yesterday night. It was a absolute treat to watch, the crowd was very energetic and cheering out loud at many special scenes which is something I haven't experienced in many other Marvel movies which shows that Spiderman has a stronger fan following compared to other Marvel movies. The 2nd half is better than the 1st half for sure. Would rate it a 8.5/10.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Spiderman: No way home 4/5

Genuine treat for genuine Spidey fans, esp children/teens. Great to see younger gen shouting, clapping and whistling in the theatre.

The movie itself - is a typical MCU formula. Much like Endgame, this one played for the gallery, tending to the fans through carefully planted moments, characters and dialogues.

IMO, this completes the arc of Disney-Sony temporary deal to share the Spiderman character between the two production houses. Next Spidernam movie might be Sony produced only. Tied up with Venom and other Spiderman villains (that would be introduced through standalone movies, like Venom).

Watched The Hitman's Bodyguard and The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard last week on YouTube after renting them out. 3 stars to both. And today, both are available on Lionsgate Play.

This is why I am on a Fb detox till I watch the movie tomorrow. But major hype seeing all the reactions. I have not read anything about the plot so far apart from seeing the trailer showing Doc Oc. So dont know any open secrets yet. Expecting a gala time tomorrow.

Prime has added all the Bond movies (except the latest one).
Holidays would be a good time to re-watch few of the classics !

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Spider-Man No way home— Watched it on Thursday earlier this week, was surprised about the early release date. I’m not a superhero movie fan in general, but have been watching Marvel movies offlate, thanks to my 9 year old son. However I have found some of the marvel movies thoroughly enjoyable, and in a few cases you don’t need to be a marvel or any superhero movie fan to enjoy the movie. This is one such movie. Thoroughly enjoyed it and my 9 year old son just wouldn’t stop screaming in excitement through out the movie!

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Relived my younger days again today at a Cinema hall yelling gleefully like a school kid. What a movie! Right up there with the best MCU has thrown in terms of fan service. Major goosebumps from 10 mins into the movie.

This is the reason I love superhero movies. This is the reason I love MCU. Made for the fans, each time!!

Spiderman: Away from home is a must watch for everyone who loves MCU movies and the previous installments.

I really can't say much without spoiling it. Go out there and have a blast!!

Thanks for the alert. I have been waiting for Amazon to add them ever since the news of Amazon MGM deal was announced.

Finished Dr. No already and in the middle of From Russia with Love. Blown away by Sean Connery as Bond, best ever to reprise to role.

Dangerous (2021):

An offbeat movie starring Scott Eastwood. Surprisingly good movie to spend 90 minutes on.

3.5/5
